Seek out and attune the required relics after completing the Story Mission to re-open the Dark Aether Rift for subsequent runs. Complete the objectives within to acquire new powerful schematics.

Did you hold square when prompted to "Perform the Summoning"? Its kind of "glitchy". I've found the easiest way to get the prompt is to stand on the column support. Usually the next to last one, or where the green plants start. Sometimes crouching helps as well.
