Her disbelief and frustration when it started was too funny plus Adam figured out the immobilizer unlock so quickly Edit for the end question So I’m not a corvette guy but most remote starter keys also have a rfid tag thats locked to the ecu so you put the key in a specific location in the interior and it will recognize the keys batteries are dead and let you start the car with a dead key or a bad transmitter on the fob if that doesn’t fix your problem it’s the hardware on the car if it does it’s the key

Do you know you can put the key fob in the slot in the glove box that way the car will recognize the key fob even if the battery is completely dead in a key fob

Could it be a key forget and how Adam started it was a authorise new key procedure? Happens in vw and audi commonly. If I key doesn't work with a car you do a repair procedure and it works.

How do you harness yourself withoout a cage? Like how/where do you attach the harnesses? Is it enought with a half-cage?

@@oggan97 harness bar. You need rollover protection if you’re going to use a harness. With the stock 3 point, your body will naturally bend toward the center of the car if the roof crushes. With a harness, your body is fixed to the seat and cannot bend if the roof is crushed. If you run a harness without a cage, your body and seats become the car’s rollover protection.

Those seats are badass! I guess I share your love of neon cuz it just puts me in a better mood. You gotta figure out that electrical issue. For the axles to spark it almost seems like someone put a ground strap to the positive side of the battery, luckily its isolated from the chassis ground. If thats the case it will not be fused and if it does contact a chassis ground it will short the battery, either melting the wire or if its a heavy enough guage wire it will be a fire hazard. I would disconnect the battery until you can troubleshoot it. It could also be causing lots of other electrical anomolies, like your current problem. Fix the sparking axle issue first and it might solve everything. Good luck Collette :)

The sparks from the rear axle could be because of a bad or corroded ground strap from the battery to the frame or to the engine block. so that will be the first thing I would look at

So this may not fix the problem but I know on most chevys in general if you in hook the battery too long it likes to trip the anti theft system in it. Which holding the unlock button usually works temporarily but more or less the computer needs reset. Hope that helps. Love the content you and Adam having been putting out lately. I saw a comment on Adam's video saying there is a slot inside the glove box that you stick the key fob into, then try and start it. Something about the anti-theft system being tripped and that's how you reset it maybe? I've never owned a Corvette so idk for sure, but it's worth a try lol.

Car is showing like 9 volts 16:45.... Definitely confirmed that as Adam was able to start it with the jump box. My C6 has had it's starting issues too, but it has always been down to a dead battery or fob battery.

Key fob issue is common on C6s. Did you try putting the fob in the tray in the glove box? If it doesn't start like that, you may just need to do the fob relearn process (which also uses tray in glovebox).

I think you may be able to push and hold the unlock button until the imobilizer light goes out then with a good battery it should start.

corvette guy reporting: redo the engine bay grounds... pull the modules out of the old seats and plug them in under the buckets. the car probably thinks the seats are missing since it isn’t hooked up and started doing theft prevention protocols. Adam’s key trick seems like a bypass for the anti theft system.

With the key fob had the same issue there’s a slot in the glove compartment u put ur key in to start the car . But I got a new fob Nd at times still does this! I just put it in the slot Nd car stars up

Can't you disconnect the seat belt from the bottom fixing mount and thread belt from above down outer harness hole. The leaves seat belt closer to hip area. Buckle can fit through inner harness hole. Keeps the belt closer to you when seated.
