New Horizons released 3 years after the switch release, so I think that even if a new console gets released this year it doesn't automatically mean a new animal crossing game would release immediately

My prediction is a spin off called “Lego: Animal Crossing”. Kind of an open world/Minecraft feel where you can build your own village from the ground up. Everything is customizable. Just a cool idea I thought of. Makes sense with the Lego collaboration coming up.

Okay this is kind of genius. My husband has been playing a lot of Fortnite Lego and keeps begging me to play with him. If ACNH and Lego collab, I’d definitely play it. Especially if it’s very customizable.

I just want to be able to have the GameCube Animal Crossing hourly music in New Horizons. Also, my first Animal Crossing game was on the GameCube. When Wild World came out, my oldest brother got a DS for some occasion, and he got Wild World. He let me and my middle brother play it. My middle brother had one room, I had one room, and my oldest brother had the rest of the house. Then I got a DS Lite, and got my own Wild World. Then every other Animal Crossing game, I've played and have. (Except for pocket camp. That's not mainstream Animal Crossing).

The music, but personally *volume sliders* for music vs sound effects vs voices would be Amazing. Sometimes the music is so much louder than everything and can make listening for the fishing Bloop of the bobber a lot harder.

with the announcement of the new switch successor they will definitely announce a new mario game that I think will come out with the release of the console. if we're lucky they'll announce a new animal crossing game, maybe even with some little teasers regarding the graphics and new characters maybe. as for zelda, since totk came out only last year, I doubt there will be a new one soon. that one will take a while probably

One idea that would get me on board with Pocket Camp that your thumbnail for this video made me think of is if it got a Switch or "Switch 2" (name pending) port or version maybe with the micro transactions fixed into a game currency instead of real money or like Pokemon Unite if they kept the micro transactions, the game wouldn't just go offline like traditional Gacha games Nintendo and other companies have made in the past because the thing that turns me off from Gacha games is the fact that one day you won't be able to access it once Nintendo shuts it down which is different from buying DLC for a game because even when the Switch e-Shop dies, you'll still have access to all its DLC content, just not the online features. Similarly to what's going on with the 3DS online at the moment.

I totally agree. Switch 2 or whatever it will be should be announced soon I’d guess and Nintendo has most likely already been in development for AC. My theory is that the reason updates on NH stopped early to switch to the new project given how much NH sold. I think Nintendo was shook and pivoted to get a head start on the next one! :)

I'm looking forward to the next gen switch if the romers are true about it having a larger OLED screen. They prevent joy con drift form day 1 and it's backwards compatible with switch games, and the dock is the same size so the 3rd party doc accessories are compatible, it has the same size library of 3rd party games, I believe it will be as successful as the current Nintendo switch even if it is called the Switch 2. It was the lack of 3rd party support on the Will U which killed it.

My Dream Announcement: Switch 2 or whatever it comes to be called coming in the Same Colors the Nintendo 64 came in, those Awesome Kinda See-through Colors like Watermelon 🍉 and Grape 🍇 and Jungle Green🌿. And for the Next Animal Crossing Game to be a Release Title too not have to wait another year and a half for the Game to come out. Because Animal Crossing was the one reason I got a Nintendo Switch System and eventually a Switch Lite also.

Bob's gang! But, you know... this just makes me sad. I blame covid, but it feels like they're (potentially) releasing a new game to make up for what ACNH lacked.... for full price. Switch games are expensive enough already - $80 after tax in Canada. And that's not even considering a whole new console. It's just wasteful to spend that much money and bench hardware that's still working fine. I get that the Switch is "the portable / the weak one" of the "Big Three" companies, and I get why they'd want a new, more powerful console. But still. Finish what you started, Nintendo... 😢

But anyways tbh if we got a new console I hope it has as much functions as the 3ds had bc it was so entertaining, even if you didn't want to play a game on it there was always something to do.I remember sitting for hours overcome with the photo and video choices, you could literally take a pic with your animal crossing new leaf villagers AND make your own little movies out of pictures of that makes sense, and I hope miis have a more significant roll in games.(you could also add your own little voice recordings and make your own little playlists of popular music!it was so fun to edit singers voices and make them sound so high pitched they were like budgies.)
