If I'm in a hospital again...I want you as my nurse. You're an amazing person...you love what you do and that's huge. Praying for you and I love the song Amazing Grace. It was sung at my mom and dad 's funeral and holds a special place in my heart. I'm thankful for nurses like you that have a true God given passion for nursing. God bless. I love watching your videos.

I love your videos. It's really cool to get perspective from a nurse and hear your story and your feelings about it. I spent over two weeks in the hospital after almost dying from pancreatitis and the nurses were and are my absolute heroes. You guys are the true badasses of the industry and I'm so thankful.

I’m also a new medsurg nurse on days and it is so busy. I’m so thankful for night shift because they constantly reassure me when I can’t complete everything for 6 pts that nursing is a 24 hour job and they’re always willing to help. 4 to 5 patients sound amazing lol
@marlencruz1325 жыл бұрын
It’s crazy because everything you’ve said about starting out is exactly how I felt the first two weeks of being alone with my patients. My last two shifts I began to feel more comfortable due to all the tips the veteran nurses have been teaching me. I started to get a routine. I’m also a night shift nurse.

I'm a nursing student in my final year and the thought of being a fully licensed RN and all alone next year terrifies me D: The facilitators on my clinical placements are no help either when I don't know something they make you feel bad "you are 3rd year you should know". Never mind the fact that each placement is only 2 weeks, by the time I get a good grasp of how things are run it's over and time to move onto the next placement (with a good 2 months gap between). So every placement starts off slow with re-learning/refreshing old skills again.

I work at Home Chef in the production line. So, this is ironic because I am watching your video to learn how you get through your shift. I work on the third shift. It's the night shift but I will tell you everyone is working very hard all day to put together these great meals. Shopping can be very stressful. Ironically, I came from working at a grocery store. After work, I would shop at the store I worked at to save time. Working at night is very new to me. Home Chef is great, too. I'm so glad you like it.

Great overview of a nurses night! As a more experienced nurse always remember the patient not the tasks! When you were mentioning your priorities (hanging antibiotics, pain and dressing changes) those are more of tasks to get done however priorities when seeing a patient first are airway breathing and circulation, see the most unstable patient first! just a pointer! Keep up the great work!
