You guys always have such a positive attitude!! ❤ I love the floors & bet it just feels better inside. We owned a house that was over 100 years old and like yours,it didn't have a sub floor. That new flooring will make a huge difference in it feeling just sturdy! You know what I mean I bet! And how cool that the kids helped install some. They'll always remember that. And Jack's tic tac toe is a cute memory when he's older! My mom used a pencil & drew on a clock face when she was about Jack's age when he did the carving. We just love seeing where she drew now..my sister got to keep the clock.

That was a lot of work putting the floor down ... you two pros know just how to tweek it just so ! That finish is durable & you know it holds up . Love the Keens -- my favorite sandal & clog boot ( sturdy & safe ) (Sidebar : I've seen other Influencers having issues w/ their expensive ranges-- makes you wonder who's checking the quality control !)

I love my Keen boots. I've wanted to try them for years, this is my first pair. I would be so sad if I spent thousands of dollars on a nice range and it didn't cook great.

Jami I also use Crisco for my pie crusts. There is also a trick I stumbled across several years ago in making pie dough. Make your pie crust he day/ night before, wrap each individual dough in wax paper, and put in fridge. If you don’t make it the day before, just wrap it put in the fridge for 30 minutes or so. Your pie crusts turned out really nice.

I used to have 2.2 acres. My dream was to do my floors in seconds. Everyone thought I was nuts so I didn’t do it. I was quite proud of myself when Zeb used the floor piece under the door with a pencil because that’s what I thought was the answer. Big I wouldn’t have put the board at the edge of the door and swung it open. LOL!

I would be concerned about the durability of the floors. We have had hardwood floors refinished and it is multiple sandings and multiple coats of sealer. I wouldn’t think one coat of any sealer would be enough. I would think the greying is from not being sealed properly. Just my opinion, for what it matters.
@jamiandzeb
@jamiandzeb 10 ай бұрын
For sure, the very nature of the utility oak is a little rustic but the oil wax does good work. They’re very sealed and the oil wax cured hard like a resin in 30 days.

Zeb, mold leather boots to conform to your feet by putting a generous amount of alcohol inside the leather And put your feet in the boots and wear them. Take them off later on, and let them dry. They should feel more comfortable and a natural fit.
