It's funny that u guys talk about knives biting. My family has a running joke that a knife isn't really yours until it cuts you. I've actually given a knife to my brother cause it bit him before it bit me.

back when the k.i.s.s knives first came out i got one for my dad and one for my uncle, a day later my uncle went to use his to cut something and sliced his thumb pad wide open after opening it upside down and putting his thumb on the blade when he went to use it, so we joked about the whole "now its yours it drew blood" thing lol

Oh dear lord. That man's voice was speaking through my headphones and into my soul. He nearly put to sleep countless times throughout the episode with his deep, smooth, melodic voice. He's out there giving Morgan Freeman a run for his money.

I love my old slip joints and I still have the first knife I ever bought when I was 12, a case sod buster jr! It's worn, modified a little, sharp as hell, and well traveled! I would love to see a modernized version with g-10 scales and vg-10 or sv-35 blades and a lanyard hole, I'd buy one!!!!

Took me forever, but I think I finally found the most unpopular knife on Blade HQ. Looks like it's the "Byrd Meadowlark 2 Lockback Knife Brown FRN (2.84" Satin Ser) BY04PSBN2" Took me almost an hour of clicking next on the knife page from the back(this was not the way to go about it, lol). Over 30,000 knives, and sooooo many are unavailable. But I found it! Please don't send me this knife if this won some type of contest, no one wants a brown Byrd Meadowlark, haha.

I carry all types of blades but to be honest the overwhelming majority of the things I would use a pocket knife for on a daily basis can easily be handled by a small slip joint traditional style knife, glad to see them modernizing. Everyone likes to own a big flashy flipper or tactical knife until you have to pull it out in public and use it, then you get the odd looks and scare children...

Jared Oeser beautiful knives. I considered a Benchmade Proper a year or so ago, but didn't like it, being a more traditional knife user. I still Often carry my 1940's vintage Schrade Walden carpenter. Instead of the Proper I went with the Benchmade Emissary 3.5" which I love, but can only carry when hunting and/or fishing. Last summer I picked up a Lionsteel Roundhead M390 with carbon fiber scales, another classic modern traditional.Blade HQ doesn't carry.... I have a few Queen Cutlery Ross Oar Carvers that are getting scarce as hen's teeth.I tried a small Case Whittler with CV steel. Doesn't cut it for woodcarving. Th best is still the Henckels Congress with 4 blades or even the 6 blade version. Great steel. I grew up with carbon steel blades (Case and Schrade) in up until the mid 70's and have often been disappointed with stainless until I tried a Benchmade mini griptillian 154CM and over a decade ago I picked up the SOG Vulcan with VG10, for the time a pretty good steel. Not sure I would pick up another modern traditional unless it was designed for woodcarving.
