I'm a palaeobotanist and those 'pine cones' look more like the pencil pine / king billy pines of Tasmania (Athrotaxis species), which are related to the redwoods, Australian cypress (Callitris) and cedars. The Winton conifer fossils are mostly this family and less commonly araucaria family (wollemi, bunya and Norfolk pine). Reach out to the Qld Museum - two great palaeobotanists there.

Woah! is that an opalized millennium falcon hanging from your wall? a long time ago in a galaxy far away silica sediment flowed into the voids of an interstellar spacecraft. imagine what humans can find fossicking on Mars

I wish it was opalised, that would be a LOT of opal! Stay tuned for some videos around that subject at some point in the future, though. 😁

@@CuriosityMine I have many pieces that I am designing jewelry for. I really admire the work that the miners and Australia in general do. I am currently looking for fossils and minerals in my region, I also study gemology 😂😂😂

@@CuriosityMine it would take hundreds of millions years and we haven't found people that old so it would be pretty interesting find.
