@@mb63 Not really. Everyone involved - even Tony Wilson himself - was amused at how untrue the movie was. They unapologetically chose to depict the myths rather than the reality. In rock and roll, the myths are what matters.
@mb632 жыл бұрын

This New Order song Here to stay is Wonderful brilliant Amazing song from the brilliant Amazing Wonderful New Order from a 61 years young Irishman fan from Dublin 🇮🇪☘️
The shot of faux Ian dancing in the beginning really sticks with me for sme reason. I onow people say the actor from Control was perfect as Mr. Curtis (and he was imo) but the guy from 24 Hr Party people was great as well. New Order forever!

This is a really great video--John Simm did a wonderful job here, as did the director. The happy sounds of the pop song jarringly conflict with both the lyrics and the expressions on his face--as with so many New Order songs, it's self-satirical and bittersweet.

Love the 24hPP, love this song, in my personal opinion, this is their finest pinnacle moment... :) and the video depicting inserts from the film is amazing as an epitaph of sorts... The actors stepping into the legends' shoes - both actors depicting Ian (Sean Harris) and Barney (John Simm) are just stunning doubles (and it's not just by the lookalike appearance), adding to New Order's list of ordinarily bizarre videos...

@Ivan Mendoza is that all you have to add regarding this song, which clearly says so much about not only the loss of Ian Curtis and inevitable shift in band dynamics after his passing, but Bernard and the other members' clear struggle over coming to terms with 'living in a legends' shadow and accepting that they too have a place and have made a legitimate impact on music/pop culture?
