First of all prayers for those affected by the latest tragedy in the city. Vrabel would be my pick for head coach. On a separate note, have you looked at Cam Swattebo Arizona State. Seems to be on nobody's radar as top 50 but consider him for the Taysum Hill role. Ran for 141 and 2 TD's and threw as a back for 42 more yards and a TD. Only drawback I see is his height.

To talk about another candidate like Aaron Glenn, I wouldn't mind hiring Glenn as our HC. I like Aaron Glenn because of his leadership and as a player's coach, he has done a good job with the Lions and as their DC especially having to work with half of the starters missing due to injuries. Also, him being under Campbell helps him not only for leadership but also culture building. Hiring Glenn would mean we can't move on from the Sean Payton era but to say it's a red flag, I wouldn't agree because there are good assistants to a HC and I think Glenn was one of them especially Joe Brady who I also would like to be our HC.

Gruden would probably make a realistic option...if it weren't for the email stuff. Even if he's none of the nasty things he's accused of and really does not have a single racist bone in his body, just the suspicion can make it hard to get buy in. I think it's entirely possible he was just talking about a guy's particularly noticeable facial feature as opposed to intending it in a racially negative way, but it doesn't really matter practically. What self-respecting, successful black man is gonna wanna work for a white guy he thinks is racist (even if he really isn't)? If he really isn't any of the things he's accused of due to those emails, it's quite a shame, but it's hard to realistically imagine him ever having a head coaching gig in the NFL again. Regardless of the "absolute" truth, his reputation has been tarnished.

It definitely matters that players talked about Flores. We need to make sure the next head coach is first and foremost, not a culture nightmare for the team. That's why it still blows my mind that Allen got over 2 seasons with us. If a competent manager heard Dennis Allen talk for 5 minutes, they would have respectfully declined his services.

I have a sneaky feeling about Ben Johnson. Let’s say he’s a genius and a great leader of men and yada yada the saints have proven to be loyal almost to a fault which gives him job security and alignment vs being in Chicago if they suck for his first year he’s gonna be stressed. The saints are also desperate enough to essentially give him anything and everything he wants he’d most likely have A LOT of say with the roster and even the draft to build his team so I think the saints may be an interesting team for him to consider

Personally, I saw enough from Klint Kubiack to offer him the HC job. He has our offense humming at the start of the season, it was fresh, new, and cutting edge. It’s poor performance as the season progressed was due to injuries and lack of depth across the OL, QB and with Tayson Hill…not necessarily because of his system.

Look mickeys not great but I trust him enough to not fumble this offseason….. Please Mickey don’t screw this up. I like vrabel for my number one choice tbh because he turned the titans fortunes around very quickly. Plus I think he can utilize Kamara, kendre, and taysom. The guy loves a good run game as shown with Derrick Henry. I don’t know about Flores because things didn’t go well in Miami and he was not constructive at all and his players disliked him. Aaron Glenn is probably not the best option because we don’t know too much about him as a head coach. He’s had one good year in Detroit. Plus I don’t want Mickey to just pull someone out of the Sean Payton coaching tree. Let the past be the past and start a new era.

I'd be down with Deion. If Deion is the head coach, this is not Mickey's team anymore, and that matters. Kubiak shows red flags with playcalling and he is not going to ruffle any feathers to actually address this team's issues. If we get a defensive guy, we still don't have an offense. And if ever we did manage to field a great offense, our coordinator would probably get promoted with a new team.
