It’s stupid but the reason is because draft order tiebreakers are determined by strength of schedule. If two teams have the same record, the team with the weaker strength of schedule gets the higher draft pick. The panthers and jets technically had weaker opponents, by win percentage, than us this year. So even tho they both also finished 5-12, they pick ahead of us. We pick ahead of the bears who are also 5-12 because we technically had an easier schedule than them.

You can look at both Giants and Falcons neither RB made them great teams Barkley no longer on the Giants and Atalanta hasn’t made the playoffs in years

You should be the owner. They really need to fire Mickey. 66 million in the hole while no other team is more than 25 mil. His strategy didn't work they haven't won another Super Bowl since they've started pushing money into the future. Also did you hear Carr today, dude we seen the tape too. The nail in the coffin was the hiring of Allen and Carr as HC and Qb, neither should have been in leadership positions based off there bodies of work, but long before that he has made terrible decisions with first round picks, extensions and the inability to retain young talent that are flourishing at other organizations. Enough is enough dude is running the team and organization in the ground, Mickey is a vital part of the saints past but he is not built to navigate this future based on the last 7 years the nfl has changed and his mindset and ideas haven’t Mickey lacks innovation and adaptability which are the keys to this new nfl your not going to recreate Sean and drew let that go your losing talent with that mindset.

Mike Vrabel is prob the biggest name but I don’t think he is the answer at all. I would rather give Rizzi a shot before Vrabel. Whoever gets hired has to get a QB.. None of the current QB’s will cut it. Carr is always injured so he can’t help on the bench. It will be a huge challenge for any coach. I don’t expect anyone to turn this team around in 1 or 2 years..

The Saints should interview Marcus Freeman and Todd Monken. Furthermore, it's best to move on from Rizzi because even after he got the interim role, nothing changed in discipline and character. After all, both were lacking.

I just dont understand to whole let's hire this OC or that DC. Just because they are good at coaching offense or defense doesn't mean that they are good at leading an entire team. Like in business when your top salesman is made sales manager. You just lost your best salesman and who says he can manage people?? That's why i think you have very poor results in hiring the best OC or DC. You need someone who can motivate guys to run through a wall for you! Then hire very good coordinators. I personally like Rizzi just like Dan Campbell he motivates men! Sean Payton was a very good offensive coach for us with Bree's as his QB but our defenses sucked!! Drew had to score 40 a game because we were giving up 35! Being a leader is more than just X's and O's.....just my opinion.
