New Orleans travel with kids - is it a good idea? Absolutely! We just brought our kids to New Orleans on a trip sponsored by Delta Airlines, and we had a great time. Here's our 2019 New Orleans travel vlog. There are so many things to do in New Orleans with kids, from enjoying beignets at Cafe du Monde to exploring the floats at Mardi Gras World, from chowing down on a shrimp po boy from Johnny's Po-Boys to enjoying New Orleans jazz in the French Quarter, from going on a Nola swamp tour to enjoying chargrilled oysters at Drago's. And let's not forget about the amazing hotels! We stayed at both Windsor Court Hotel and The Ritz-Carlton New Orleans. As you can probably tell, we're a multiracial family (or interracial family or mixed family - whichever term you prefer). Carmen is Chinese and Belgian, and mostly grew up in Hong Kong. Serge's parents are both from Benin in West Africa, and he was born and raised in NYC.

@@TopFlightFamily I did. You guys made the trip interesting. I'm not a fan of New Orleans myself being that the French Quater is literally only like 5 blocks long. I don't think I'll ever go back there again.

I have to say I didn’t love the French Quarter either (though the architecture is really pretty!) If I we go back I’d def love to explore more neighborhoods. The children’s museum was in the Arts District and that had a totally different feel. Much more chill and a lot cleaner too. Lol!
