New Orleans Weather: Heavy rain could put dent in drought

Meteorologist Alexandra Cranford has the New Orleans Weather forecast at 10 p.m. on Sunday, November 12, 2023.
A low pressure system forming in the Gulf of Mexico will bring rain - the heaviest we've seen in a while, but not too much, over the next two days.
The forecast is for 2 inches of rain or so Monday and Tuesday. Probably not enough to end the drought, but possibly to help with some of the wildfires.
