New Orleans Weather: Temperatures rising through the week

Meteorologist Alexandra Cranford has the New Orleans Weather forecast at 5 p.m. Tuesday, April 19, 2022.
After a cool and lovely Tuesday, delightful weather is here for one more day before it turns warmer and muggier Thursday through the weekend. Even then, the forecast doesn't look bad at all for events like French Quarter Fest, the Zurich Classic and NOLA Navy Week.
Only a couple of stray showers will be possible over the weekend as south winds send us more atmospheric moisture and we heat up in the afternoons. Don't forget sunscreen and a hat, and drink lots of water if you're spending time outdoors.
