I just got my magnetic glass media mat from Glassboard Studios too! I got the 18" x 24" white board with the pink peonies in the corners. Unfortunately the customs charges coming over the border from the US to Canada were just over $50 Canadian.

I bought a couple of ink pads that I didn’t buy the reinker. Well, when I went to order a reinker it was no longer available. Now I always buy the ink pad and reinker.

I wish this mat worked on any surface as I do not have the glass media mat! I watched Jennifer Mcguire use it and her cardstock moved a couple of times but other than that it seems ok. Thank you for your time with youtubes!!!

With the lift of the grip mat, I wonder what it will do to the blending brushe's bristles as it goes on and off the paper being blended?

Jennifer McGuire did a video with the grip mat & she showed it with blending tools & the brushes as well. They all seemed to work just fine.

I love everything Tim Holzs but don't see the point of this grip product because Ive watch may videos and you still have to hold your paper so not seeing the advantage unless Im missing something?

In a recent video by Jennifer McGuire, she stuck a sticky mat (the MISTI one, but I guess any would work) to the back of her cardstock, sticky side facing the cardstock, then laid that on the grip mat. It seemed to hold pretty well, though even then, not perfectly. Frankly, I agree with you that it seems a bit unnecessary. But, to each their own. :)

For me, I love it because normally my fingers get fatigued holding the paper down so it doesn't shift. They sort of cramp up. Having just that little bit of extra grip holding it to the surface makes it much easier. :)
