It’s cousin Land Cruiser is so much better looking IMO. At this point I’m sure that the Lexus front fascia is never going to grow on me and while the mechanicals are no doubt rugged, the approach angle makes it very unsuitable for going off-road. The spindle design also makes it very difficult and expensive to improve those angles with an off-road bumper if you did want to realize it’s potential there. I really want to like it but in its current form seems like most of its potential has been traded away by forcing it to fit into the Lexus “design language”. *edit: despite my feelings on the LX, of course I still gave your video a thumbs up! Best suv money can buy. Last 500k miles without engine repairs. There's plenty of used for sale with high mileage and still expensive, because quality comes with cost. Big 3 makes garbage, engine problems and transmission problems.

I have a 2005 LX470, almost 300,000, best truck I have ever owned. The truck is super expensive, however if you compare the competition, they aren't that much less in price. Also they don't last to 300,000 miles with no problems. So around 150,000 you'll need to buy another one. So 80,000 + 80,000= $160,000. You save $60k in the long run and the Lexus is less maintenance all around. I will be looking at getting a new one, as for me, it's time😆

Sharp vehicle, with great features but wow!! 100K. I’m guessing the LX570 is the size of the Sequoia. Tim I couldn’t afford a boat or a camper after spending the 100K on the SUV.. I think I might have to live in it. Or opt for something not so upscale and just upgrade ever 150 to 175 thousand miles or so.

With you on the Judge Dredd exterior treatment. Lexus seems to think that's how to distinguish their stuff from the LC and other std toyotas. Just give the US an updated LC without the silly bodycladding but with the updated interior and drivetrain!

Lexus put lipstick on a pig (or is it a gas hog?). They use nice materials, but the design is horribly dated. The mpg is dismal. It’s more reliable than a Chevy or GMC, but is the horrible fuel appetite really worth it? The Chevy & GMC are also very comfortable & the Cadillac is probably superior, but more costly. Lexus is STILL resting on its Laurels.
