Thank you! Getting back into photography with a used Nikon D300s, used lenses…. And relearning photoshop raw flow. Once I saw your video with the wheels.. (That’s just like how I grade video raw like Blackmagic BRAW!). BOOM! Brought RAW Nikon image to life, toned down the highlights.. and I’m off to the races. I’ll subscribe just for your heads up alone and see what other videos you have. Photoshop has come a long way over 30 years. I remember when we all used Lumena 32 on video boards with the program burned into the chip on old clunky IBM computers. But that is another subject…. (Lumena was incredible… fast… even on old computers back then because the software was on the expensive video card.. not RAM…. :)

nice review. i am using lightroom. do you think it makes sense adobe would add masking to color grade or duplicate this color grading into local adjustments where we can remove color grade effect from certain zones or just reduce its effect ? can we compare this new color grade to photoshop gradient map ?
@PhotoshopTrainingChannel4 жыл бұрын
Mar, that would be a cool feature for Local Adjustments. I don't know if they ever will but they might. Gradients maps are probably more powerful and offer way more flexibility. But I think that they are more difficult to use when applying similar effects as the Color Grading Panel.
@marclabro4 жыл бұрын
thank you. i love gradient map for deep BW and color grading.I also use amazing INfinity product in photoshop. in fact, it will be nice when we can buy lightroom/ACR color grading presets as we did for split toning.

@anuragsinha26364 жыл бұрын
Yes it better as you can live change the color and see it more easily.. its more user friendly but u can do the same thing with gradient map
@Jakiyyyyy4 жыл бұрын
Yes it is same like gradient map but in camera raw version. It's just improved of old split toning.
@PhotoshopTrainingChannel4 жыл бұрын
To answer your specific question. Yes, there is at least two things I can think about. First you can apply it to Raw photos. And you can apply the Global color grade on top of the other three. But in some ways, the Gradient Map has more flexibility since you can add more than three color stops. But Camera raw is way more user friendly.
