Was so blown away by the quality look of it all! Im a huge hater of lego knockoffs after getting some Mega Blocks as a kid. These pieces look just like lego, and besides the minifigs, id think this was actually Lego! I like the video so much i just ordered one, since i love ww2 armor and aviation.

EDIT: After having gotten the kit myself you can easily fix the sticking track issue by simply flipping the inside 12 wheels around as it is an offset mold and that will give you plenty of room for the track guides to not bind on the wheels and it rolls super smooth that way. Otherwise yeah they stick... Also no getting around gluing those 4 tiny round dish pieces, they're simply too small, Cobi really should have made that a 1x1 with side bulge specialty piece to be honest...

I have mixed feelings about this one. The design work is excellent. I mean they pretty much nailed the proportions and the details are plentiful. (I wish there were more prints on the turret but that is not that big of a deal) About the interior: let's start in the hull. Is is great! Everything is in place as it should be. From the fuel tanks, engine and even transmission. Almost the same can be said when talking about the turret. I very much like the fact that the ammo is stored in the correct places. Even the 75mm shells for the coax cannon are represented in there. One minor complaint is about the gun breech. It is WAY too small - it should extend to about middle of the turret. But I understand the limitations. Meaning if they made the breech accurate then the gun would have close to zero elevation since the breech would make contact with the turret floor. Now for the less exciting things. As mentioned during the video the tracks are just a big disappointment. I mean there had to be a better solution on this scale. Also the fact that you have to GLUE parts together is completely unacceptable for such a premium product. Pricing on this model is on the high side as it is expected for Cobi limited editions. But when the standard edition releases I am hopeful it will be priced reasonably well. Overall this Maus is very well sculptured but the technical realization lacks much to be desired.

The old Maus actually has the problems with the tracks getting stuck too sometimes i do like u not have to squeeze like 50 of these rubber wheels on the plastic ones At all it looks much better than expected, i will buy it

Despite the improved proportions/extensive details I feel for the price attached Cobi could have done better in quality. Technical flaw with the treads aside pieces should never have to be glued on. As a display model on a shelf with a fairly accurate interior to open up I think it's pretty good/impressively built for the most part. On a side note surprisingly had no problems with the Sherman Easy 8 from last year after building. Treads roll fine on any surface with next to no pressure. Wonder if the model was improved after release, and if we could see similar design tweaks with this model in future releases.

I really love the design of the new maus. The outside has a super smooth fitting. I would say the interior isnt as good as panlos maus. I am very excited to get mineee. Danke for the vid. Plus i know how to get the tracks to work. You can just add an extra link and it will go very smoothly, or just dont put the tracks in the crevices of the wheels so it wont get stuck. 😀

Put one of these together recently and, gotta say, I'm impressed! Some of the building techniques were a bit odd, like the way the front and back hull panels were secured, but I'm overall very happy with it. The tracks may not glide super easy over smooth surfaces under its own weight, but with a little pressure, the tracks on mine work fine. Likewise, I fortunately did not have to glue any of those tiny rounded pieces. I do wish the gun had a bit better of internal breech, not necessarily for detail, but for balance so it doesn't fall down as friction wears out over time. Only thing I didn't like were the figures. Mine fell apart way too easy. The feet of them just keep falling off, and they don't stay in their seats very well.

I actually bought the Panlos Maus last October since it caught my attention through BrickMeet. I had fun building it, but there were several issues. Obviously there were parts that were too loose or entire sections that would come apart. The side skirts took a little bit to get on cause they were being held together by a single 1x4 piece and would break apart with too much pressure. The interior was great, had almost no issues, except for the turret. The technic 3 hole has less grip to the plate than the connector piece so you often take out that small piece when trying to remove the turret. On to the turret, the design was creative for it all, but the sides of the turret were a pain to attach, and the parts used to hold the barrels were not great in stability. Then the problem with the swivel piece. The interior is great but if too much pressure is put on it while trying to get the turret back on the entire inside breaks and is a pain to fix. The turret is wobbly as well. Then there's issues with other parts like the back where the extended fuel tank is. It comes off easily so you have to be careful with it. The tracks are a clever design and work well, but sometimes the technic circle plates (Im not very good at identifying brick pieces) come off, but aren't really a pain. Issues aside I really like the tank. The detail is nice, the interior looks great for sure, and the tracks are definitely better than Cobi's. I keep the Panlos Maus on my dresser as decoration, and it looks great despite the turret lookin like a shaved down block of cheddar cheese.

HINT:how to fix the tracks=so u basicly flip the 6 wheels on both sides on the inside, not the outside and they give u plenty of room to roll otherwise they are getting stuck, and thats it. Btw i like new maus cuz its now even more accurate that the old one, i wish they do this to the mauerbrecher too, also cobi needs to put some tanks that are old such as the jagdpanzer e-100 cuz the tracks arent smooth, hope cobi fix this. Check the drive sprockets and idler wheels at end as mine did same and i adjusted so both are perfectly in line with each other as that can cause tracks to stick. other then that it could be tracks are facing different directions. I was cursing doing tracks as they a pain to fit so i ripped side skirts off to sort out. also had to guerrilla tac the bloody cogs in idler and sprocket hubs as they fall out. is Cobi having quality issues. Your number brick looks really beat up. i have number 553. one of my figures feet look like they were crushed by a forklift good job i never have figs out.

Also, I see you've changed the color of the text with dimensions, it look better now as it is more visible (as I mentioned in a comment for the F-16, it was harder to read the black text on dark grey background)
