I got to level 23 last night on a Pyg run. By the end, basically they were just throwing enchanted items, diamond skills and enchantments at you. Literally every item on my board or in my stash had an enchantment and was diamond. It's crazy.

Having some infinites is fun and good for the game, but we can already see that there are proooooobably too many infinites this patch. If devs want to have this many charge items they should consider non-integer increments for charge times, like: When you do X, charge this 1 -> 1.5 -> 2 -> 2.5 seconds, instead of 1 -> 2 -> 3 -> 4

Infinited with a model ship and bushel. Didn't NEED the healing enchant on ship or shield enchant on bushel but I got it anyways and it was even funnier. Me and a Pyg who also had an infinite went to the time limit with scaling shields and weapons. If either of us had a spiky shield with crit we may have been able to one shot each other but we both had golf clubs... long story short, funny stuff this patch. Very, very funny stuff.

It looks like Treb has the same issue Pulse Rifle had a couple patches ago where the Bronze version has the new 10 second cooldown but at Silver+ it reverts back to its old 8 second cooldown making it extra silly right now.

Everybody is Dooley now. The charge loops go wild on pretty much every character. Calling it now, TTKs will be low and the time it takes your build to start will be king.

It feels like item enchants are a LOT more common due to the lvl up changes and I feel like thats gunna be a huge component of the meta now. Cause enchants were largely just lucky hits where you might be able to gurantee 2 with only like what 4 options? I didnt count but I feel you saw at least a dozen enchants to pick your best options

Skills being much harder to get is very interesting, and the amount of charge is a big nerf to freeze so this meta is gonna be very interesting

It's a bigger nerf to slow. Lots of builds now are almost completely unaffected by slow. Freeze was also nerfed by the fact that rapid thaw is beter and more accessible now

This might be a patch too late, but I've been pondering something. According to How Bazaar on day 2 shops have a 90% chance for a given item to be of bronze rarity and 10% chance for it to be of silver quality. I believe Reto stated that the shops first determine rarity and then the item. Let's make a bold assumption. Let's say this also applies to monster drops. Tent City Mayor was a day 2 encounter. What were his silver items/skills? Scrap, Dog, Temporary Shelter and Sharpening Stone. 10% chance to get one of those. What were his bronze items/skills? Augmented Weaponry and Defenses. With Augmented Defenses being bugged and never dropping that leaves a 90% chance to get Augmented Weaponry. (Day 5 has 55% chance for bronze, 40% chance for silver and 5% chance for gold.)

I've had so many 10-win Arena runs today, most revolving around the hilariously effective synergy between Aquatic items. I'm like Pyg from the last patch except with damage. I hit Toxic Seaweed (which gains poison every time you heal) in one run, and that run also had Burning Blow Gun for 75 damage, burn and poison. And another run hit diamond Cove, silver Force Field and the Vanessa skill that doubles the damage of large weapons. In 3 seconds, shield for 2k and crit swing for 8k. Bonkers.

I did four matches yesterday, 2 10 wins and 2 losses. One win was with Probuscis, which was so good that I think slow might be the new poison/monitor lizard, possibly. The other one was with the freeze hammer and a 1 second freeze trigger. Between not running into 10 ghosts running the strongest possible build in the game, the new car smell and running into freeze being much less common now, I am loving the new patch.

Yesterday something I observed (cant tell if it was just my small sample size or if its viable) but I saw a lot of shield pig and dooley builds using the force fiel and spiked shield combined with the shiell % of max hp at the start, my guess is that its easier to find and upgrade those skills now

The change to mayor was a good one. it lets them leave a cool skill cool and still bring it in line with other scaling skills. at day 5? It's still potentially a really good skill, but not nearly as easy to break as it is at day 1.

It’s a beta and I expect the dev team will react and adjust as they have consistently ( aside from a well deserved break) I do question why they chose to give trebuchet scaling charge. It basically creates a pufferfish/monitor lizard scenario yet again. Infinite dot builds are cool and fun, but they shouldn’t be easily achievable by day 4. That and the healing enchant changes. I’ve been able to break 80k armor consistently with 1 item.

Ive played a few runs of aquatic Vanessa and she seems disgusting right now. Not even just pufferfish either, Ive had a sharkray payoff, a claw crusher payoff, a void ray payoff lmao. Pearl plus turtle shell is just a craaaazy engine right now. Especially since you only need 20% cdr on diamond pearl to full charge itself! Edit: it just occurred to me that pearl is a small, faster landscraper for aquatics. Ain't no way this lasts lol

Glad we get changes and nerfs however the game "feels" worse. "runs" worse. Hoping it eventually gets fixed up. My PC now runs super loud and hot after the update... Which is super weird... Games very slow, sluggish, clicks are unresponsive and delayed , slower animations. Just feels overall like a step back

The trebuchet is bugged and should be 10s cooldown according to the patch notes. Ive even found a 10s version im pretty sure.

The item-based level up rewards are pretty trash, actually, in my experience. You generally take loot but it tends to be really bad, and 2 gold. You can be lvl 11 and get like a silver cinder for 1 burn at lvl up, or a pelt worth 4 gold.

I was hoping for the post fight information since your first video i feel like its going to help a lot of new people. I love enchanting but i think there are too many especially because it hurts pivoting. I am a little concerned that the game is becoming too engine focused though.

I dont know much about the game but I would expect a Diamond weapon that is being buffed to be able to deal a bunch of damage no? Or do you expect your gold build to just out-tank literally everything and all forms of damage?

Turtle Shell is way too good. At least Lizard killed you quickly; I'm just casually on day 3 or 4 trying to chunk through Vanessas with 5k+ shield and it is, uhhhh, let's just say not a play experience I expect to return to very often.
