Glad you are enjoying it as much as we are! I did a Vanessa run trying not to use Trebuchet, but got one at the start tried to pivot to a weather glass build after your other vid. Ended up using both had Treb, Dock Lines, Waterwheel, and Weather Glass. Felt pretty nice.

Very similar build to one of my personal favorite runs of all time! Ended up with integer overflow pre-captain's wheel nerf during a training dummy fight and was regularly dealing -2.56e27 damage to it until the sandstorm killed me lol.

Fruit, I would normally agree that Pyg is rough right now, but last night I had Lizard build running at peak speeds and got shut down at 9 wins by a Pyg with 30k health and flamethrower followed by a Pyg with 8k scarf with 100% crit and spiked shield (or whatever it's called where it does damage based on your shield). I don't know if something has been quietly patched or changed, but Pyg feels a lot stronger now than the past few weeks

First thing first, I'm subscribed, the vids are entertaining, and my opinions don't matter. . . . . That said, SO many vids on this and the main channel, he has made the claim that winning with Pygmalion is difficult etc. etc. Then he "proves" such late game with some gimp build. Now, it might sound like I'm gargling the Haterade®here; I swear that's not the case. . .it's just that a LOT of his hardships come from his play style of forcing XP, economy, and income no matter which hero he plays, then prioritizing skills. Also, can this win really be considered "winning with Pygmalion"? What resources specific to Pygmalion were necessary for this build? What really happened is that he sat back and took those Ls until he had the coin to buy whatever items he really wanted, all of which are from other heroes: the Uzi and Crane are Dooley items, and the Captain's Wheel is a Vanessa item. It only took him so long to "start cooking" because the likelihood of getting other hero items, which better fits his taste, increases the more days pass along, and then RNG gave him the Crane out of pity for finally getting a win that wasn't sandstorm induced. Again, I'm not hating on the man, it's just a smidgen over mildly frustrating to hear him complain about win likelihoods, Dooley and Vanessa's ease of ramp, "GAMBA!", "if I had known", "I'm a sucker for skills". . .and then vent frustration about how the items he wants aren't populating. You kinda want to slap the copium out his sippy cup and point out that he hasn't checked for items the first 5 days, so of course he has no feasible board state, lol. I'd love to see him challenge himself by running a few games where he isn't whoring for XP and skills. I reiterate, my opinion matters not.

Rather than trying to ask why I’m saying these things about Pyg when it seems like I’m playing him differently in an attempt to form a conclusion - you’re trying to say I’m wrong. Now I can admit when I’m wrong and when I don’t know too much about a game. But in this case I can safely say you’re wrong. You say the videos are entertaining but nitpick the reasons I try to make them entertaining. I’ll expand on that. 1st. Ask ANYONE who’s playing Bazaar right now who the worst hero is on this patch. Spoilers, they’ll all say Pyg. That’s because he has 1 meta build that lets him see success on a semi consistent basis, that build being Crook Medium Weapons. He has some other builds like High HP bonk but you have to HIGH ROLL and I mean HIGH ROLL. There is no forcing it like you can with Vanessa Treb or any of Dooley Ray builds. 2nd I’m not forcing the meta comps, in fact the whole thing I’m chasing is off-meta “what if” builds. You seem to think that I’m just lucking my way and finding other pieces. But it’s keeping an open mind and looking for any interesting pivot possible. I’m not looking to make 10 Pyg build videos with them all being the same thing. 3rd You like to think that my avoidance of shops early days is a throw. But again, ask Pyg players what items you’ll find on this patch that could carry you - a lot of the stuff you’ll want are silver large or gold. Day 5 is when Gold starts having a 5% chance to show and Silver starts to be as common as bronze. It’s all about weighing statistics. Why go to a shops early, waste all my gold so I have nothing left and fish for something when I can get guaranteed meaningful rewards right now? It’s also a great way to play the game for any other hero but because of the balance patch and the imbalance with healing/shield right now Pyg just has a worse time. 4th Items win early, skills win late. Skills are what make okay builds great and set you up for 10 win success. I like to say “I’m a sucker for this” or “gamba” that but that’s just because I’m having more fun with it and taking calculated risks. I’m doing these all for entertainment and the potential for fun builds knowing that I’m pushing the limits sometimes but it’s all about risk vs reward 5th You also think forcing economy and income on Pyg is bad… when… that’s Pyg’s entire design philosophy?? All of his items, skills and level ups lean into economy and income because that’s his thing. I also play more risk-averse when I’m off camera just grinding ranked because that might be more optimal but it’s not as entertaining. However you seem to confuse my “entertainment” for ignorance/incompetence and that’s just true. While you say your opinions don’t matter, you’re still taking the time to point all this out and correct me so I’ll do the same. If I looked for Pyg Crook every run I’d have a better chance of succeeding but he has the least options on this patch which makes him feel the worst because there’s so little to work around. When I record I’m trying to play The Bazaar with the original design goal of the game which is to play whatever you get and make weird stuff work. Right now it’s too easy to force certain builds and they’re still figuring out how to balance all that but that’s not why I enjoy The Bazaar and not what I want to do with videos. At some point I’ll run out of unique builds and will inevitably find a lot of similarities in builds but I’m not at that point of nuance yet in my content. It’s just the way you decided to word all of this that really irked me and so I had to stand on business. I make plays for entertainment but my overall thoughts and knowledge are no longer as amateur or ill-informed as you seem to think. The community has more or less unanimously decided that the health of a character is the variety they offer. 1 strong build but everything else feeling bad is an unhealthy character. Vanessa’s not much better but is more consistent right now and has more items you can work around even if they look similar with something like “one weapon builds” but that one weapon can vary greatly and in turn what the board looks like
