Oh man, the Teal stripe Bandit is still my favorite amp I've ever owned. I've wished for a preamp pedal for years, this is literally a dream come true for me
@needsLITHIUM13 күн бұрын
my dad got one as a celebration gift when I was fucking born, man. When I was learning how to play in the late 90's and early 2000's, it was the first amp I ever played. I had an old Zoom 505II that I would also run in the loop, and I remember turning off the overdrive/fuzz section and using the amp's distortion channel as a "boost" or running the zoom in front of the amp and turning off the amp section to just use all the pedals out front. Then in high school I discovered extreme metal and found out Entombed and a bunch of the Nordic black and death metal bands used them. I've been trying to buy it off him since 2010, and he refuses.

It's time passed. It was one of first trial to have "working horse" cheap solid state amp with "Marshall" tone. Thats it. Thats why it is so popular - rigid thing with good rocking and solid tone, not that great as original tube but still ok for less than twice cheaper. As for a preamp - we have a dozens of Marshall-in-the-box now analog and digital. IDK - nothing special in 2025 at all.
@needsLITHIUM3 күн бұрын
@@sergeyv4908 I would argue that one of these into a tube power amp, or pedal that mimics the sound of one.

Thanks to Thomann for highlighting these more than some other places have and big thanks to Peavey for bringing these preamp pedals out and keeping that old school Peavey aesthetic too! These are getting a lot of people coming out with appreciation for it. I’m on the email list for when they are available. I’ll pick up at minimum the Rockmaster, VTM, and Bandit versions. I’d love to see more like this. Full Triumph preamp in a pedal? I gigged a Triumph 60 all through the 90’s and had so many other guitarists asking me about that amp. I loved the amp and it was reliable as hell. I would definitely be one to buy a pedal form Musician 400 preamp also. Pedal Butcher? Yes please. I have a Decade preamp already, but would love the pedal form with proper Peavey logo, so I might get one of those also. Also have the original Peper’s Pedals PV Fury with the right colors, look and Spikey font. Great pedal. Many of us old school guys appreciating the older Peavey stuff and of course one of my favorites has been the original 5150 and later 6505’s. I have two ValveKing II heads also. I do own a few Marshalls, a Bogner, some Orange amps, a HiWatt, etc but the Peavey stuff has always been some favorite gear for me. I always thought the Transtube stuff sounded great too. Count me in as very interested.
