I have been reaching for it for the last two days and have been loving it so far. I have only been using it for quick notes and short journal entries … no real long form journaling yet … but I look forward to getting to know this pen!

My ink rag has definitely seen a lot of action. 😂 If our ink rags could talk, right? Very happy to have picked up the pen. It’s been on my list for a long time and I’m so thankful I have it in my collection!

In your honest opinion, do you see a difference in nibs when it comes to the Custom 74 vs Custom 823? I’m talking about the experience, I saw that they differ in size!

That’s a great question. I’ve only been using the new pen for a short time and my Pilot Custom 74 isn’t currently inked. Let me do some comparisons using the same inks and I’ll make a video on my experience in February.

HUGE difference! The 823 is longer with better balance. It's also heavier due to the metal rod of the filling mechanism - so nice. It's also thicker at the grip section. All of these things mean that I get a much more pleasant writing experience and can write for a lot longer. I love them both, but the 823 for sure is my preference.

@@hopemurray5834 gotcha! So it’s more about the weight and balance, and girth as well, rather than a difference between nibs’ quality. I see. That’s definitely a pro! Thank you for testing!
