OMG. Birmingham Pen Co is in my backyard and I never heard of them. I looked them up and them have so many colors of ink. I definitely need to get some

I love it when you get new ink samples; the swatches are so fun! That green/copper ink is so beautiful. I think I'd be tempted to use it as much as I could. Don't even get me going on your Estie collection because it is so lovely. If I could, I would have one of everything!

That estie is GORGEOUS!!! I'm debating getting one since they are so expensive. Usually I get all hyped up for a product and then am disappointed when I get it. I don't think I'd be disappointed with an estie though, hence my struggle! 😅

I felt this exact same way about an Estie. I couldn't figure out what the hype was, why people had one in every colour... then once I held it in my hand, and realized how comfortable it was, I got the hype.

I only have one Estie which is the Maui one and it's definitely my number one! I prefer stub nib so that's what I got and it's a dream to write with! The thickness of the barrel in all the rights places makes it such a comfortable writer! That's honestly why it's my favorite! I've got my fingers crossed that they come out with a baby pink Estie! ❤

That green pen is great, but i'm not sure I would prefer it to the tortoise shell which is a little more classy but still flamboyant.

Well, others have said it, but the DeAtramentis Copper inks clog like crqzy. I rhink they're only good for painting and such. You have some interesting inks here. I'm thinking that Sailor Shirakashi might look good in the Rainforest Estie as well.

You can also just buy an Estie nib unit in another nib width and screw it in. Easy peasy!

Thanks for sharing!!! FYI...Don't put the De Atramentis into your pen. Mountain of Ink review-"Overall, there is a ton of shimmer in these inks, but I had a lot of issues with clogging and burping"😮

@KarynaLovesToPlan - So I have a dilemma. I'm a fountain pen newbie. I love the look of Esterbrook however the price gives me pause because I can purchase gold nibs for the same price. 🫠 What are your thoughts on that?

@@PlanBudgetDisney gold nib doesn’t always mean better. It is about the overall shape and feel of the pen, as well as the nib. I sometimes prefer my steel nibs to some gold nibs. And the Estie is my favourite because it is comfortable in my hand, it writes well with a steel nib and is beautiful. I recommend going to a shop and actually holding pens in your hand - I didn’t always have the luxury to do that so if you can, I highly recommend it.

I got the Journaler nib on my rainforest Estie! Have you tried it?

Not yet - I do love a good stub nib but I think the size of the Journaler might be too big for me.
