But the biggest problem are those buttons on the wheel- nice looking, but totally useless... It's sad to say it, but I don't like the direction that they take and after 15++ years of driving cars from PSA group next time I'll change the brand...

That comparison makes no sense. 3008 is much bigger than the astra and a different plattform. Look at the new Opel grandland 2024, it’s the same plattform as this 3008.

The suspension is stiff enough for it not to roll too much in corners (but it's slow so who cares) it's pretty comfortable and absorbs the road asperities really well without isolating you to much from the road surface. I think with the seats it's really well balanced. The Scénic is slightly more comfortable but a bit less dynamic as it tends to lean a bit in the bends. It's quicker tho !

*better, you cant put more in front of a word that changes to end with "er" when it's an adjective ! More good = better, more heavy = heavier by example ! Sorry to be the annoying 🤓 tho... I do think the iD.4 is better as it has better habitability, better infotainment, more usable screen, way more trunk space, way better range and efficiency, charges a lot quicker and has more power and ESPECIALLY IT'S RWD AND NOT FWD !!!! And the DCC is absolutely amazing, completely changes the behaviour of the car, from good in bends to extremely comfortable, it's amazing ! And the iQ.Lights are better than Peugeot's matrix, the driver assists are easier to use with the travel assist but slightly better in the 3008 (I don't think by a bit so you won't really see a difference in long commutes) and with the travel assist if you push the steering wheel to place the car on one side of its lane, the system will understand it and stay there ! And the iD.4 is not more expensive... Overall iD.4 is a LOT more value for the buck ! If you're interested in such a car, just tell me, I'll help you find the perfect one !

I think the fact that it's only the electric is a good thing as it will bring more buyers towards the electric cars ! And a awd electric cars makes more sense to me. What I dont understand it that it doesn't have an amazing range with the 73kWh battery in fwd 210hp but the AWD will only be available on this battery and not the 90something kWh battery... Pretty stupid I would say...

At 110 km/h the noise in the car is very loud. There is a lot of tire noise in the cabin. One big minus for this car.

All depends of microphone set up I imagine. If predecessor was/is still praised for quietness why this one would be worse? Peugeot cars nowadays are well made, so is soundproofing etc. Main problem is a lack of adequate IC engines. PT 1.2 is not enough for todays heavier cars and is unfortunately not reliable too.

Controlling the air condition and ventilation via the display as you demonstrated it looks really terrible. And may be displays at all - looks rather reflective and with your white t-shirt looks hard readable.

You never ran at full electric (on battery power) because you always had your AC turned on. My wife has a 208 with the same engine/transmission and the car is miles better if you have your AC turned OFF, because then it runs 40%-50% on full electric mode. Unfortunate you didnt see that happening, probably will get the bad idea about the engine and not the full picture.

@@achaz_ Electric cars are the future, no dougt, just not the present :) Technology is not there yet imho. Pulling 500kgs in batteries is just dumb, going by brute force. Also, the vast majority of electric grids are over 50% fossil fuel burning. So you drive and feel "green", with 500kgs of batteries wasting energy in a country like the US where they generate electricity by burnming gas ? makes perfect sense i guess...

8.9L？？？ what a joke, it is no way near as effecient as any Japanese hybrid, even mazda 6 cylinder mild hybrid diesel is better than this setup. 100kw for a 1.7 ton SUV.........i just have to say the French cars are really weird. my xtrail epower has 6.1L during summer, 5.2L during winter and 4.5L for the rest of seasons, not to mention Toyota and Honda hybrid........

In the video he made, the air conditioning was quite strong and therefore the car never entered fully electric driving, but the electric motor only helped in the acceleration phases. This is why he consumed so much. On his channel he did the test with the same system on another car with the climate low and sometimes off and had excellent consumption for a mild hybrid, i.e. 4.7-4.9 l per 100km. If he had kept the air conditioning off or lower, the car would have run on electric for a while and would have averaged around 5-6 liters per 100km.

I understand this peugeot setup is for emission control and fuel saving, but if it is only benefited from ideal conditions then I have to say it failed to achieve its goal. Your reasoning is very correct, but it is clear that the Peugeot engineers used an air conditioning compressor that is too energy intensive and does not allow the combustion engine to be turned off. Another factor to consider is the state of charge of the battery, because it could also be that it was quite discharged. in conclusion, since it is still a 48v light hybrid system compared to the 200 or 400volts used mostly by Asian brands, it is clear that the 0.50 kW and 48 V traction battery is unable to manage the air conditioning in the worst conditions strong enough and the traction of the wheels. Engineers need to improve the efficiency of the compressor.
