A brief explanation. Each character has the power of one of the 7 elements: cryo (ice), pyro (fire), hydro (water), dendro (plants), electro (electricity), geo (stone/earth), anemo (wind). The basis of the combat system in the game is that each element has a unique interaction with each other, forming reactions with unique effects. There are 4 characters in your squad, between which you can switch at any time and combine abilities with different types of elements.

To add on to what others have mentioned about the regions, there's also certain "enemy factions" (not spoilers): - Fatui - Usually arrogant 'Diplomats' from a certain country who keep shoving their weight around in other countries. The poor guys you mention that keep getting beat up in trailers, like Wanderer's one. 🤣 - Treasure Hoarders - A very large international group of low-level thieves/bandits/graverobbers/do-no-gooders. The enemy in Yelan and Baizhu trailer. - Ronin - Homeless wandering katana wielding warriors only in Inazuma. The enemy in Yoimiya and Yae Miko trailer. - Eremites - Mercenaries who mostly live in the desert, exclusive to Sumeru. The enemy in Cyno and Dehya trailer - Abyss - A faction that seems to be plotting something from the shadows. The hollow knight-looking enemy in Shenhe's trailer

In case you haven't figured it out yet, a person gets a "Vision" when they unlock elemental powers. It's like a piece of jewerly that has the symbol of your element on it. How to get a Vision is stil up to debate, but it seems that your ambitions have to be very big, and then the gods answer your ambitions by rewarding you with elemental powers, by giving you a Vision.

So I guess our protagonist's ambition to find their sibling is not yet strong enough even after more then 500 years. Either that or the gods or celestia doesn't approve of their ambition so they ain't giving them a vision. Oooor they saw that they can resonate with literally every element so they thought it unnecessary to give them a vision.... Where are Lumine & Aether from anyway ? Sooo many questions, not enough answers. All we know is they're from "Beyond The Stars'' no ?

There are seven elements, which people have described in other comments. But each character is also separated by a weapon type, of which there are 5: Bow, Sword, Claymore (mostly Greatswords), Polearm (Spears and Staffs), and Catalyst. Catalyst users are a bit confusing, they are usually portrayed as 'mages' who use a non traditional weapon (book, orb, bell, fan, etc.) to 'cast', or in case of Wriothesley and Heizou, just punch people. The game doesn't have classes, and each character's role in their team depends entirely on their personal kit

Xiao isn't really cold Hearted per se. When he first came out, they made him much more edgy than he is supposed to be, but only in English. He is a Yaksha, they restore order by slaying demons, and this in turn slowly drives them mad. He is the only living one remaining.

Cold hearted =/= stoic. Some characters can appear charismatic, even goddamn hilarious, but their hearts are stone cold, those types of characters I actually adore. Xiao isn't of the sort, he's the polar opposite. He and Diluc are the Batman characters of Genshin XD

Fun fact: every character is part of one of the 7 nations, which are all based on real life places! The first "arc" is Mondstadt, which is mainly based on Germany The second one of Liyue, which is based on China The third one is Inazuma, which is based on Japan The fourth one is Sumeru, which is based on the middle east and the places around it (mainly Egypt, persia with a sprinkle of arabic influences and more) The fift one (which we're at right now in the game) is Fontaine, which is mainly based on France with some inspiration from England The sixt one (not yet in game) is Natlan, which will very likley be based on Meso-america (aztec and maya cultures) with some africain inspiration too and the seventh one is Snezhnaya (also not in game), which is Based on Russia and slavic cultures There may be one more but you'll have to play the game to see ;) If you want to see more about it, I dunno if you checked it out yet, but you can look up "Teyvat chapter storyline: travail" which will showcase one character out of the 7 regions and explain a little of each act and it's stories! :D anyways, awesome video! :D

41:58 So with the release of Fontaine, diving is now a thing and no you don’t need a specific person to do it for you. Some characters give you a buff that improve your swimming speed or stamina, but that’s not preventing you to dive underwater and start killing things. On land combat was really the only thing before Fontaine but underwater, there are mechanics that help you fight that aren’t from the character itself. Team comps exist and to clear game content like the Abyss, you need 2 good team comps that have characters that synergies well together. As I said there are underwater mechanic which basically replace all your skills so you can’t use that character skill but the one underwater

The game only has 5 weapon types, but they can be unique based on their appearance and stats: Swords, Claymores, Polearms, Bows, and Catalysts Swords are tour typical broadsword appearance at first, but there are craftables particularly in Inazuma that resemble katanas. Heck you can even use a pipe and a closed umbrella as a sword hahaha. Claymores are basically big-ass sword types. They can be greatswords, clubs, a big fucking tuna, and more recently with Navia, a giant axe. Polearms are typically spears. There hasn't been ones with extremely unique appearance imo, but I'm personally waiting for one that will look like a scythe. Bows of course are bows. You've seen Venti with the Skyward Harp and there was even another fish related bow 😂 And lastly, Catalysts. These are magic objects the character carries with them and their appearance can be your typical magic books, magic relics, or more recently with Wriothesley, a literal drone.

Yooo!!! It's finally here!! Demos let's gooooo!!! Each of their character music is soooo gooood! 3:00 mad respect you remember Gouba's god story! That event cutscene and story was a limited time event so newer players wont see it unless they search, so I'm glad you'll remember him! 6:42 There's characters who are known to be singers, artists, and performers as their occupation, and yes some of their skills revolve around showing that off. Venti here is a bard. While his skills dont really show him playing music, he has an idle animation where he brings out his lyre and plays some notes! 22:02 You're right at the part where he's not a bad guy. He's just dealing with the nastier things that others normally wouldnt. In a sense he's a protector, but eons (hundreds to thousands of years) of slaughter has made him accumulate karmic debt (think evil energy just piling in your body with each thing you kill) so he has an inner struggle to keep his sanity or else he'll give in to darkness. 34:15 Unfortunately no. Though I get why you'd think that way! Yoimiya is from Inazuma, the Japanese inspired nation in the game. Lantern Rite is a Liyue celebration, which is the China inspired nation. They dropped Yoimiya right when Inazuma was first released! 39:54 Characters come and go as Event gacha! They usually have around 3 or 4 weeks of staying as the current gacha before another character gets a featured rate-up. Raiden just got her rerun last month unfortunately, so it might take a while for her to come back, but that just means you can save up! 45:53 A Vision is basically a physical manifestation of a person's elemental powers! It's randomly given to someone who's "ambitions reach the heavens" to put it in the game's terms. It's like a trinket composed of a gem (based on the color of their element, red for fire/pyro, torquise for ice/cryo, etc..) and a casing (determined by the person's nation). In Itto's case, his Vision is the trinket you see at 44:22, just bellow his neck. His is a Geo (earth) vision, that's why it's yellow, and the casing is an Inazuma case. Klee's vision is on her bag at 8:40 , and it's a Pyro gem with the Mondstadt (her nation) case! Because it has a physical form, it can be taken away apparently. 1:46:58 It may not seem like she's doing much damage here in the trailer, but as of now, she's one of the most OP supports and buffers in game! Her demo just generally shows her love for flair! Overall, really glad that you pay attention to the story in between the lines, heck even making references to the previous teasers and trailers! That's kudos to you! I look forward to seeing you start the journey on March!

So its been a few days but I wanted to wait and see if others would answer the job question. And as far as I see no one has so I'll do that I guess So can you get a job in Genshin? Short answer, No Long answer is that you work for the adventures guild and take all sorts of missions, commissions, bounties, requests, & other miscellaneous tasks. Such as but not limited to, food delivery, breaking things, fighting people, finding sigils, jumping on mushrooms, collecting flowers, cleaning up leafs, getting medicines, digging up hidden objects, climbing up onto high spots, collecting rocks, talking to creatures that don't speak human, fighting those creatures, and many many many more. The ones I mentioned are not even part of any of the story quests so, you do a lot of work in Genshin.

He's an immortal warrior who made a contract to protect his nation. However this comes at a price. This is the pain and suffering you see him going through in the trailer. He seems like a super edgy guy, but he's learning to let loose throughout the story. 33:43 - The Lantern Rite happens in the nation of Liyue(China), and Yoimiya lives in Inazuma(Japan). Yoimiya's fireworks are for the festivals happening in Inazuma, not the Lantern Rite. and just fun facts; Yoimiya's design is supposed to represent Japanese Summer festivals, and Lantern Rite is based on China's Lunar New Year. (Your joke at the end of the trailer for her roasting you was pfunny) 43:40 - It's actually a major plot point in the story. When you play the game you'll get to experience it. 🙂 45:52 - A vision is what gives characters the ability to use the elements. It's a gift from the gods. They manifest as large orbs, that a character then wears. It'll be the color of the element, have the symbol of the element, and have a casing representing their character's nation. So for example, in Itto's trailer, you can see his is hanging from his neck. 1:00:36 - "4 Star? Bleh" lmao he says to one of the best units in the game 😂😂 1:01:18 - If a character has a Demo like these, then they're characters you can play. Not in a "you're Heizou, so you can go do detective cases now" kind of play. You can just use him on your team to punch people. 1:14:59 - The stars are a bit special in the world of Genshin. So the biggest University in this world literally has an entire field of study for it. Layla is a university student for that field of study. She is really just a tried and stressed out college student lol

To be fair, reacting to Genshin is a never ending endeavor. You could react to the music, which is the best thing Hoyo does in their games. I mean, you can criticize many things, but their music is always great. The problem is that there are SO MANY good songs that it's hard to pick the best. Since you seem to like songs with more beat to them, maybe boss themes are the best for you... go for Azhdaha's, La Signora's, and Scaramouche's. Not saying the others aren't great (they are all awesome), but these have much more beat. You could also react to the Collected Miscellany, although there are even more of those than demos and they have 5 min each, soooo. The goal of these videos is to teach you how to play each character, they talk about their abilities and what they do. So yeah, they are always interesting to watch when you want a character, but to watch all of them... it's A LOT. (Sorry I'm commenting several times... I was watching the video little by little)

Heelloooo, love your videos, reactions are super engaging. Just wanted to say, if you'd like more stuff to react to about genshin, you could give the collected miscellanies a try. They are basically just info about how the characters skills work in game but it also explains just a little more about the character's personality and sometimes lore. Since Genshin is first and foremost a gacha game, this can help you decide which characters you like best and would want to play as. The videos are pretty long though, so if you do decide to react to them, it will probably be best if you watch it in two--three and even four videos, because ngl, it can get a little tedious to watch all at once and all of them together are probably over six hours long. Once again, your videos are amazing and I look forward to see you play the game :)

By "future" it's in literal meaning, which means, some are spoilers & some are yet to come so it became food for lore theorist. You can tell the quality of the demos went up as time went on. My personal favorites are Zhongli, Shogun, Nahida, Neuvillette, and Navia. The last one, Xianyun, aka Cloud Retainer, I liked it but one part kinda irks me, when she says “So, have I convinced you yet?” I think they forgot that she speaks of herself in the third person. There should be another one coming in a couple of weeks or so, Chiori, as she’s coming in version 4.5

Visions are what allows you to channel elemental energy to use against foes, but to get one requires you to be blessed by the Archons. Could be of strong will, a wish before imminent death (to overcome your challenge) or something else. You can see visions on characters by the little gems they wear, losing your vision means you lose your powers (except for Archons, they don't need visions as they have a Gnosis ((that channels elemental energy through their bodies and are also stronger, which is why Raiden Shogun is so strong because she is an Archon)). Archons can lose their gnosis if they're removed or given to someone by their own will. ((Unsure if they still have the power of elemental energy or not after losing their gnosis.))

An example of obtaining a vision is Bennett, who is known as a very unlucky person (seriously, he's super unlucky. one of his idle animations is just him getting hit by a random rock out of nowhere) Bennett got his Pyro (fire) vision from almost dying, which could mean he's not as unlucky as he thinks he is but he doesn't think the same. Even if he has a vision, he's lonely because no one wants to be in his adventure team (since he's unlucky, he brings it upon others unintentionally)

Or it’s built in her😭 I can’t remember 39:56 So the way banners work, are basically, a character is released and can be obtained through a banner. ( Aloy doesn’t have any reruns but you can still obtain her ) Nowadays during present versions 2 characters can be released/reran. These banners last 20 days. When they release a new character, usually another character gets a rerun or second chance to be obtained with them. Usually in a version they have the new 5 star with another rerunning 5 star in the first half then in the second half, They have 2 rerunning 5 stars. If there are 2 upcoming 5 stars they will probably be released in different versions to not create stress if people wanted them both. Many boss materials might possibly become useless and with so much hype over individual characters, this helps Hoyo increase the income. There are other reasons but I can’t really put it into words. Her next rerun with probably be around the beginning of the new year considering that’s when Natlan will have probably been released
