So Star Rail doesn’t have seasonal events and festivals like the Lantern Rite. Instead, every patch has had either a main story quest or a “continuance” quest (except for 1.1) that has depicted the adventures of the main cast. In return, all of these major quests (and the main event of the patch) are permanent! So no worries about missing crucial characterization like can happen in other gacha games.

@@8-bitSprinklesOh, and as for your questions as to what the Dan Heng is at the end, Star Rail works more similar to Honkai Impact 3rd, where characters can have different versions beyond just the main version. 5-star alternates have to be pulled for, but any 4-star alternates are given as part of the story, and they are actually good, meta units!

I thing the area to do old events just hasn't been added yet since that event will be our first permanent one

Yea, aventurine is a super good unit. His shields have almost always uptime, minus super hard hitting moves. Plus, he applies shields at the start of battle. This matters when enemies are a bit fast, or given priority. Some stuff mentioned locked until higher level. While not required, getting a dupe of him will allow him more shield chances. You gonna love when you finally see him in story. Though that is still some ways away.

I am happy that you enjoyed it. HSR usually went full Gas with their marketing and sponsors when big patch like 1.0 & 2.0 arrive or if there's a BIG character coming. You can see their insane budget through their promotion materials like trailers even compared to the other game they made. I believe you picked the right time to play the game since 3.0 is coming around January. But even if you didn't get sponsored, the views gonna flood in like crazy.

yeaaa some said that too!! I think I got lucky coming at this time and when Rappa just got released she is OP they say and some others said that at 3.0 we will get a free 5 stars!! I really love the game so much, it's sad that I didn't get into it sooner XD but it's ok better late than never hahaha I'm focusing on catching up to everyone in the game so when 3.0 hits, hopefully I can be ready Thank you for your kind words!!

1:02:28 As you can see here, your flying ticket has a clear afterimage, which is an indicator of a 5-star character. You can predict it this way. If there is no afterimage, then it is just a 4-star. And congrats with Rappa :)

For context the firefly units are made becoz they needed to Those bugs / swarms are all consuming bugs they ate planets like Cheetos😂 so if they didn't fight the universe would have been consumed The planet Glammoth sacrificed and faught in the front line so I won't really fault them yes the experiment is questionable but that's all they can do And the empress not really just used them since those are all her clones so she is the actual test subject from where they are all made from

In Rondo Black Swan(white haired) is a Memokeeper which can look into memories. She wanted to confirm if Acheron killed Duke and then she sees her power. Which was so powerful and terrible that just the memory of it almost killed Swan and Acheron didn't notice this

19:00 The cool thing about this short is the play is talking about a certain two characters who are watching it and their actions towards the little accident the actors have is representing and adding context to the play itself. You might want to come back to these trailers once you're caught up with the story in-game because you'll get a lot more meaning out of them. Just like in HI3rd, characters can have multiple pullable forms. Notably Dan Heng, he has a 4* varient but has a 5* varient that must be pulled through his banner. Another would be March 7th and MC. Despite getting multiple forms, they're completely free and come from playing the story. They're also really good, March 7th is performing well in follow up teams, and MC (their harmony version (support)) is insane for Break/super break teams (think of bloom teams where they require lottle investment for lots of damage).

@@8-bitSprinkles Unfortunately the official channel's playlist is jumbled and unorganized, even missing some of them. So usually people just give content creators their own playlist. The only caveat is HI3 only has JP and CN voice so I'll have to make a list based on what you prefer. I've enjoyed all your videos so far so I'm sure I'll enjoy your HI3 videos too, definitely looking forward to it, no rush though you can take your time~ Watching lore videos actually helps with providing a bit of context because there's a bunch of terminologies and events not in the game (manga, web visual novel, etc.) that you won't get right away even when you watch the official shorts.

Congrats on your Rappa pulls! I haven't played Genshin since Sumaru, but I can tell you HSR feels alot more mature from a character perspective. Some of the stuff you saw was semi spoilerish, but without context I guess its not to bad lol. Which one was your favorite? I got Rappa while I was building pitty, so I don't have the LC either. I'm still building her to see how good she is without it. Normally you can get by without the LC, just note that the LC banner is like 70/30 or 75/25 unlike Genshin. Meaning you have a 3/4 chance to get the actual LC. In alot of cases the Eidolons are alot stronger than getting the LC, but the chance of failure is very high with another 50/50.

I don't know if I will try to get her lightcone because I want Aventurine and Fugue!!! people said that I can get the 5 star lightcone from the simulated universe for Rappa, I just have to get the tokens which will take 8 weeks haha I'm using a 4 star LC for now

@@8-bitSprinkles True that's one way to go about it. I have had Adventurine since he launched and I don't regret him at all. He's probably one of the best units in the game atm, and of course he's stylish :D. Not a bad idea to want Fugue either. The main suggestion I've followed since launch is the characters you never want to miss are Harmony, because they are game changers. Alot of people suggest for the free 5 star at 300 pulls on the standard to go for Bronya, since she's one of the best starting buffers. Bronya, Sparkle, and Robin are all game changers because they allow you to turn skip. I'm looking forward to Fugue, because I have alot of teams that could use her. Atm any info on unreleased characters are based on the test servers, and it will be several months through test versions before we have an idea of what her real kit will look like. As for how to tell you get a 5 star, you will see the ticket shimmer rainbow on the right side of the screen and the music while the train comes changes sorta like ZZZ. They aren't so cruel in the game to only give us sad and bitter stories. You will learn more about Firefly in the future. But there is a reason people love her besides just her said backstory.

I actually did the battle tutorials a couple of days ago and I learned that about Bronya! It was so CRAZYYY the enemy had no turn at all I see so Sparkle does the same? To know when a 5 star is coming, look at ticket when ticket on right of screen you can see 3d hologramic colors Keep looking at ticket, and when ticket on left upper screen you can see the hologramic effect again, and the train music changes a bit Just keep looking at ticket to see the 3d color effect of the ticket, the effect can be seen twice clearly like I said.

@8-bitSprinkles If you want and can, you can try her signature cone as it gives you a good start in putting together the build and if you need help with the build, my recommendation is All tracks at maximum but they are equally worth leveling up one in each and focusing more on her basic Atk Her outfit is Iron Cavalry of Glamoth And the ornament is Talia But just like in Genshin Impact, you can't farm clothes without unlocking the 5-star drop. If you have any questions, you can ask and I will always help you!!!

@8-bitSprinkles Aventurine is the best defense character in the game and he would be very interesting for you, but he won't be a good match for Rappa in the future. But the cone that you can use in Rappa is the one that is in the cone gacha now "when harmony dissipates" it is 4 stars a single copy already helps to improve Rappa if not use it for now "make the world cry out" Also 4 stars

I didn't realise this was such a recent upload, i always enjoy people watching the starrail animations, it definitely makes you want to find out more about the characters Sometimes there are things you only fully recognise from watching other things or experiencing the game but mostly you can draw your own conclusions from the visuals Rondo across countless Kalpas is my favourite animated short, you were basically right about the symbolism, the one who initiated the dance (Black swan) was trying to get into the other girls (Acheron) head and figure out her memories but upon actually getting to see her memories she finds it is much darker than she expected and suddenly the tides turn, where once she felt like she was leading the dance she is suddenly no longer in control and is in danger of being consumed by the darkness as others have, she realises she has made a grave mistake and drastically underestimated the person she thought she was trying to figure out After watching the full video there are ways to tell if you have a 5* on your pull however it would be easier for you to look up a video for the demonstration of it rather than having it explained, but you can tell as early as the ticket flying in the very first part of the warp animation instead of waiting for the door to show gold

yeaa I got even more excited after watching them I'm trying to speed up the main story to find out more, so many interesting stories!! it was an interesting animation for sure, maybe the only one I almost got right lol yep, others have explained to me, and after repeating the parts a few times I noticed the difference between 5 star and no 5 star it's so hard to spot lol Thank you for your input!

I've been playing since March but I've been really taking my time so I wouldn't be surprised if you were already further than me You were right about some others but it's easier to grasp when you have more information of course, if you rewatch them after going through the story other details will probably make sense There's also Myriad Celestial trailers which are much more lore based (and slightly more confusing) but you've probably already been told about them Yeah once you know what to look for it becomes much easier to know what to expect, I was amazed when I first found out about the hints of a 5*

Danheng was the first to go from 4 star to 5 star, but the characters are separate from eachother, meaning if you want you can put 4 star and 5 star Dan Heng on the same team. It's predicted soon Herta will get her 5 star form after the recent HSR 2.6 livestream showing her older appearance. The Herta you see in game is only her puppet form which is what she looked like as a kid. March 7th in the future will most likely get her 5 star form once she finds out her true identity.

Yeah Aventurine is rerunning next patch and is not only an interesting character but also the best shielder in the game by far so you can't go wrong by pulling for him. I skipped him when he was released cause I hadn't gotten to his story yet and I'm still regretting it haha. I will get him this time for sure 👍

Acheron is the unit that relies on her signature 5* lc the most in the entire game (40% dmg increase with it, her f2p lc options suck) So purely from a meta perspective, she isn't worth getting if you can't get her lc as well, and it might be better to save for 3.x units after you get Aventurine since he and Rappa can carry your account^ That said, that's only relevant for the endgame modes, if you don't really care about clearing those then you can just pull for whoever you want and enjoy playing the game your way! (i didn't mean to type so much, you're welcome to ignore everything honestly 😅)

Congrats on getting Rappa! One thing, her kit revolves around break damage, which means you need a super break support so she can actually do damage. We only have Harmony Trailblazer so far but they can be unlocked early for free. Since you already played Rappa's trial, I guess you can unlock them already because that was all the spoiler you were going to get so...

@@8-bitSprinkles Yes but more recently they added super break dmg, which boosts break dmg a lot. Break characters like Rappa don't do much damage until the enemy is weakness broken. She can turn part of her break dmg into super break dmg on her own, but not nearly as effectively as Harmony Trailblazer's ult. And yeah, Fugue will also be able to do that, I just avoided mentioning in case you didn't know yet. Technically you will unlock Harmony Trailblazer later but you can do so early on the Travel Log. And you might want to because you're still far from unlocking them naturally and from Fugue 😅

Harmony MC gets unlocked at the end of the first planet. And until then you really don't need to worry about teamcomps. I'd say character level either 50 or 60 is when you should really narrow it down to one primary team or you'll run out of resources fast (assuming free to play). Then, you can expand from there for the two-team endgame modes if you care for those. Edit: I watched the pulls just now, I guess you can ignore the "free to play" comment.

Grats on the Rappa pull. You already said you're going for Aventurine, but if you don't get him, Lynx is a very reliable healer and easily good enough to use in any content, which I just wanted to point out because you got her E2 already. She gets outclassed by most 5* healers/shielders (and Gallagher) because she doesn't contribute to the fight offensively like they do, but she does perfectly fine at keeping your team alive. Just as a fallback in case the Aventurine pulls go wrong and/or for the 2nd team. Your reactions were fun too and don't worry about not understanding a lot of what's going on in the trailers. Everyone who watches them before playing has that issue, because you'll get a ton of information in the game about the context.
