I dont understand why you would want a slim version of a PS5 because lets be honest, our PS5s never leave the house or travel so ehat is the point of having a slightly small and nerfed version of it?

Because the original is absurdly large and doesn't fit on any table nor in any media furniture without restricting the airflow significantly. I've always waited for a slim one but was hoping for something even smaller.

Great, honest review.👍👍 My disc Slim should by all means be ready for me to pick up this Wednesday. Will be having this taking place in my Gameroom and my older OG into my lounge. I bought the stand too, just to "make sure" my Vertical set up would be complete.

I definitely prefer the fat model. The usb A on its front gives a bit more flexibility. Also it just looks prettier and is actually cheaper

I absolutely love the design of the og PS5. On my entertainment center it looks fucking awesome so I'm glad Sony decided to stick with it and not make the slim version much different. Also, I'm glad someone else mentioned that it's not much slimmer because they want to prioritize fan noise. That was my guess as well and honestly, I'm so happy they did that. I remember my ps4 slim started getting loud way quicker compared to the fat ps4. I never want to hear those jet noises ever again..

Hi, on the new ps5 slim can you remove the side plates one at a time and Spray paint them let them dry then reinstall them.

I think you’d have a hard time with the glossy panels, probably best to wait for the new covers to release in a few months 👌🏼

@@JorgePowell Thanks for the reply , the new ps5 has 4 separate panels and I was thinking spraying each panel a different colour IE 1 panel red fleck then gold blue and black all speckled . my daughter loves speckle's .

Smaller system smaller air flow. There is a reason why PC cases are large. This smaller PS5 will probably end up having heat issues as games get more demanding before the larger PS5. I would avoid at all costs.

It would have heat issues but not always, it's just hotter than the Og since it doesn't have much airflow and smaller fan. Bigger fan always circulate more air better.

@@xPremiumRabbitx the pipes for the ps5 slim are more complex and makes the airflow better, the fan is slightly smaller but enough to not make it overheat

@@gus6279 I haven't heard any said it's more complex. All the sources I'm seeing are basically liars, they keep saying the Og has 4 heat pipes but in reality it has 6 heat pipes and the slim has 5 heat pipes.

Ahhh, I think kinda like he meant is they just did a quick kinda sloppy looking job, even though it does look pretty cool! But I will probably wait till the next generation, or the next year slim. I already have my 1215a PS5 fat model.
