Great list, Zac. As someone who likes the XY games, I do believe these choices would've improved the games and made it less easy. I don't really have much for Alola, since Gym Battles are replaced with Totem Battles, but I do have 2 things 1. Kukui should definitely have Incineroar as his canon starter, it fits too well with his Masked Royal persona (also anime) 2. It would be cool if Lusamine had an Ultra Beast on her team. I'd give her Pheromosa as they look kinda similar.

I love the totally thorough justifications for the extra fairies on Diantha's team. The type does fit her better than those overused fossil pokemon. I always figured Lysandre would go for "prettier" Pokemon. Honchkrow makes a lot of sense, and I'd personally change Cyrus' team to have more "mechanical, emotionless" pokemon. As for the rivals, they're near perfect, save one. GIVE SHAUNA HER GOODRA YOU COWARD

Here's something I would fix: Grant should still have Amaura and Tyrunt, but he'll have an Aerodactyl I feel like your reasoning on why Clemont should have a Mega Manectric is too weak. The games aren't dependent on the anime. I'd give him Manectric for balancing reasons. A Mega Evolved Dragon-type like Mega Ampharos is a little brutal, although it'd fit his theme. For Valerie, she could switch between Aromatisse or Slurpuff depending on which version I'd remove the Xatu and Delphox from Olympia's team. Give her a Male Meowstic and a Malamar. They fit her aesthetic more. Wulfric should have a Mamoswine instead of an Aurorus. Give Lysander his Honchcrow back and give it Heat Wave. His Mega Gyarados should also be locked as shiny. Mega Aggron fits Wikstrom more than Mega Scizor. The anime doesn't always drive the games. A literal beast shrouded in full-metal armor sounds like it'll fit him. Drasna having Mega Garchomp is fitting because she's from Sinnoh. Your reasons for Diantha were actually good. I'd lock her Florges as a White Flower one to encapsulate its rareness-also since its appearance fits Diantha a lot. I'd also remove Gourgeist in favor of a bulky Fairy-type Clefable. As for Trevor and Tierno, just give them the Kanto starters you didn't choose. Oh and give Shauna back her Goodra. She won't be needing that Blastoise if you give it to the other two rivals anymore. Giving her a Furfrou was also a very good idea. It fits her having a Delcatty and Sylveon.

I don't think Amaura fits Grant at all I'm fine with regular Manectric but if others are having a mega, he should aswell Agreed Mamoswine is great for Wulfric, Aurorus doesn't look like a mon he would use Agreed Honchkrow fits Lysandre better than Mandibuzz, and I also love the Gyarados being shiny Mega Aggron is indeed a better fit for Wikstrom imo Drasna's design fits really well with Mega Garchomp Completely agree with the rivals having the Kanto starters For Diantha I love the idea of her team being a movie genre theme, Gourgeist for horror, Gardevoir for drama, Hawlucha for action, etc.

@@Martin724K Amaura definitely fits Grant because he's inspired from the character Dr. Alan Grant, an archeologist. Siebold should most definitely have a Mega Blastoise. He has a Clawitzer with Mega Launcher, having a second Mega Launcher Pokémon would be fun. I agree with the Diantha theme, but it makes her incredibly unbalanced as a trainer. Most of her Pokémon are easily manageable. I used her team competitively in Pokémon Showdown, and it's still difficult to play as because of the two Rock-types that easily goes down to any Fighting, Steel, or Ground-type moves. Gourgeist is good, but it needs to invest in defenses in order to actually be a threat. And that Gardevoir needs Hyper Voice.

My new team for Kalos Gym Leaders Viola: Surskit Butterfree Vivillon I chose Butterfree over Beedrill for the Winged Bug type aesthetic. Grant: Binacle Amaura Tyrunt There are a lot of Binacles you can find just near his gym so,no problem giving him one. Korrina: Mienfoo Lucario Hawlucha I’ll be giving Mega Evolutions from the 6th Gym Leader onwards.But she still have the Lucario. Ramos: Jumpluff Victreebell Trevanant Gogoat Not much to say here...except turning the Weepinbell into a Victreebell Clemont Luxray Dedenne Magneton Heliolisk The Luxray pick was from the anime and I wanted give him a native Pika-Clone. Valerie Florges Granbull Sylveon Mega Mawile Florges is the evolved of the Floette so it could match the other Pokémon.I replaced Zac’s Aromatisse with Granbull because mostly due to me not liking Armoatisse, and so she could have at least one physical Fairy Attacker.And she already has a Mawile so I chose it as the perfect Mega. Olympia Slowking Female Meowstic Male Meowstic Mega Alakazam I chose to pick female AND male Meowstic because they have different stat spread and move set so there you go.And the Alakazam is the Perfect Mega. One thing I would add for the rivals is give them the Kanto starters you don’t pick. Trevor being more interested in the science of Pokémon would get the starter yours is strong against and Tierno would get the other with both having the Mega evolution for both and in their final battles with you after the end of the game like your main rival they give you a mega stone. If we do eventually get a remake for X and Y I think another thing that would be really awesome is that if they followed sword and shield and gave us a tournament to decide who is the next challenger for both the elite four and champion.
