Crap, I realized something at the last second. I forgot to tell you guys to capture a temporary Fletchling for Viola. Sorry my mistake! Also, for Zard X, yeah give it fly. I legit derped at that. I will legit admit that I didn't think about that because I forgot it was 2 seperate games and I should have kept fly on Zard. So yeah for both games, keep Fly on both. When I have a lot to do at once, I have brain farts and I forget the smallest of things. Thank you guys for being smart and pointhing these things out. Your criticism is what helps me improve!

Listen, I'm happy you did a remastered version however i will still be rolling with the old best team cause i am sick of gardevoir and roserade plus i cant leave my boi Ageislash out. He i one of my favorite pokemon and one of the best shinies. Story Time: I was doing a steel type only run in X and was hunting for honedge when on my FIRST ENCOUNTER i ran into a full odds shiny no preperation for it. And im still happy aboutit.

@MysticUmbreon Funnily enough, in my hardcore nuzlocke of Y, I have all members of this team except Kadabra/Alakazam and Gardevoir. 😢 (My route 4 encounter was Budew, and route 5 was Pancham.) Any suggestions on who else to use instead of the 2 you suggested? (The Kadabra and Gardevoir) Since the only way I'd be able to get one of those 2, would be to get them as a shiny.

My very first playthrough team consisted of Greninja, Charizard (Y), Gardevoir, Lucario, Heliolisk, and Aerodactyl. It was a fun team to use, even though the game was super easy. My favorite thing about Kalos was the diversity of choices when it came to the roster of Pokemon!

I just started my first kalos run a few days ago, i was using the original video as a rough guid ebutae a few switches, i had looked for that video for a refresh on aome of the moves and realized this was an updated version, fumny enought i had alreadyad the changes of getting, charizard, roserade, and gardevoir, i kept greninja, and honedge from the original best team and planned to get a garchomp once i got to it! Anyways i was happy to see i made good decisions when straying away from the original 😂

Am currently playing through X with the team of Chesnaught, Charizard, Snorlax, Tyrantrum, Lucario, and Lapras. All of these are either gift Pokémon or mandatory encounters and they synergies super well with each other so far. I might change out snorlax for xernias when I get it but I think snorlax will still be very good.

If you keep your Gardevoir a Kirlia until level 36 then you’ll get Psychic 4 levels earlier than Gardevoir who gets it at 40 it’s a bit better than being stuck with confusion until level 40 that is if your willing to keep your Kirla unevolved for six more levels

I kinda prefer the original best team. The new one is certainly god tier, but in XY, you can kinda do whatever. Plus, I generally prefer to use at least 3 or 4 mons from the respective region on my team. My first go consisted of Greninja, Venusaur, Talonflame, Lucario, Aegislash, and Lapras. - Greninja is Greninja. Needs no explanation. - Venusaur is more of a tank, which I appreciate. It doesn't get Dazzling Gleam like Roserade does but... doesn't matter that much. - Talonflame I wanted cuz we finally got a region bird that wasn't Normal/Flying - Lucario is Lucario. Honestly could probably solo this entire region... - Aegislash, I like Ghost pokemon and a possessed sword and shield is quite pog. - Lapras is too good not to use. Since it has the god combo of Surf, Ice Beam, Thunderbolt, and Psychic.

Funny enough I used greninja charizard and roserade in recent replaying of Pokemon X version and I realized just how useful roserade is in Kalos. Also the fact that you can get the shiny stone before you have 5 gym badges is really useful lol.

for the Kanto starters Imo it depends on the version you pick if you have Pokemon X choose Charmander if you have Pokemon Y choose Bulbasaur.

10:49 Since a proper moveset wasn't put in for Lucario, I figured I'd put it in myself. It doesn't mean you have to absolutely use this moveset; it's up to you if you want to use it. (This's taking its megaform's ability into account as well) Lucario: Power-Up-Punch/Aura Sphere Metal Claw Sword's Dance/Bulk Up/Quick attack Focus Blast/Double Team Power-up punch comes with Lucario already, so you can keep it if you want. But if you do want Aura Sphere: you're gonna need to move relearn it, sorry. Metal Claw's a no-brainer considering that there's only 1 other steel offensive move in the game and it's in the post game. You could just go the defensive route and use Iron Defense but that's an Egg move and.... yeah. Sword's Dance is also a no-brainer as it boosts both physical and special moves by 2, making it one of the most broken support moves in pokemon gaming history. But if you decide to do the physical route, then you can just teach it Bulk-Up, which is pretty late game. One final optional move is Quick Attack, cause priority, but it either needs to be move relearned (which is a hassle) or is already on Lucario and free to use. The last one is dependent on the choice you made for the first move. If you chose Power-up Punch over Aura Sphere than Focus Blast is right up your ally. It's basically a more powerful, but less accurate and more limited, Aura Sphere. It can be found and bought in the Anistar Poke Mart. But if you chose Aura Sphere then Double Team is a good move to use, and second only to the broken Swords Dance: as it boosts evasion by 2. It can also be found in Anistar but only during the morning, If you feel like there are better moves for Lucario, then let me know. But otherwise: This's the best moveset I can give it for Kalos.

I've.... never understood the point of saying "Zard X/Y" the entire time. But I've used Pyroar or Delphox, never used Charizard or Crobat though Kalos as of right now, and I've always used Jolteon. Holy hell- thats actually the moveset I'd use on a Roserade, but switch Giga Drain for Energy Ball. But AYYY ma boi Mega Lucario, I'd just catch a neutral Nature Riolu and evolve im because I'm NOT dealing with a Hasty locked -Def Mega Lucario, then plus a Salamence :3

I found it odd using Strength on Mega Zard X instead of Fly because although in it's X form it doesn't get STAB it is still powered up by Tough Claws and your normal reason for having it is to avoid walking everywhere despite it being a decent move in playthroughs specifically. There are several things you didn't mention but I really don't want to list everything off in an unnecessarily long comment. Long story short, this team is cool and it's not bad at all but I like the original best team for Kalos more.

I have to disagree with the starter choice, Greninja may be helpful, but not as helpful as Delphox. Delphox helps with violas vivillon, Korrina and Ramos's ENTIRES TEAMS, Clemonts magneton and heliolisk because of dry skin, Valerie's mawile, Olympias team with shadow ball and Wulfrics team. it helps with wikstrom. It helps with Dianthas Hawlucha, gourgeist but be carful and mega gardevoir. it helps with team flares poison types. it helps with the rivals meowstic with shadow ball. and overall as great stats. My team was: Delphox Florges Gogoat / Venusaur Aegislash / Lucario / Hawlucha Crobat / Salamence Lapras I understand why people chose charizard because of mega evolution, I just think the mega chars are overrated and that venusaur, lucario, or salamence make better megas.
