I have this bag! I went to the Polene store in Paris in December and picked it up. Funny enough, I wasn't really interested in this bag when I was scoping out which bag was my favorite on the website. But when I saw the black one in person I immediately went full heart-eyes and purchased it (a little VAT refund never hurt either). I've been wearing it nonstop since. It's both really simple and kinda funky which is an immediate win in my books. It's only been 3 months since I purchased it so I feel like it's unsurprising of me to say this, but the leather is still holding up amazingly, the structure is still perfect, etc. etc. I almost want to buy this in a paler color too, but I might get the neuf instead after seeing how much you love it. Thanks for sharing more info about this brand, your channel is how I discovered it :)

Tonka is a spice , wich tastes delicious and is often used as a replacement of vanilla/ Or mixed with it, especially in Pastry and culinary arts :) It's quite popular in France as a spice i recommend you to try it! thank you for the review , and Hi from France :)

Ooh yay! I’m glad you’re happy with your new Tonca! I bet the black looks super chic. 🖤 I do wish the leather folds were a bit tighter and more finished on the inside but I don’t know if that would make such a big difference in space capacity given how uniquely shaped (asymmetrical and curved) the bag is. Also, I shared an updated in one of my recent videos, but I gifted this bag to my friend last week. She really loved the design and style and so I gave it to her. A very pretty bag - reminds me of an asymmetrical version of the Loewe Luna crescent bag. I am not sure if it would annoy me to get in and out those flaps after a while 🤷🏻‍♀️ but looks beautiful in the mod shots on the model.

Loved Polene’s bags and recommended it to all my friends, colleagues and senior executive staff. One of my friends ordered the tonca in camel, received a FAULTY bag which had 3 blue ink stains and she was absolutely devastated. She contacted them via email for a refund then again via Instagram but it took 3 weeks for her to get a reply. Poor QC and customer service after the sale. It’s a shame because they have beautiful bags but the QC issues seem to be a recurring issue if you go through their Instagram comments. I was very lucky and my order came in without any faults, however not everyone was as lucky. Seems like you’re only guaranteed a faultless bag if it’s gifted to you for a KZbin review. Thank you for the honest review Hannah. I absolutely love the bag, I agree that it’s probably really well made but the stress and anxiety of not knowing if you will receive a non faulty item is not worth it for me.

@@hellocatwalkcity yeah she eventually did receive a refund, they offered her an exchange but she had to go on the pre order wait list and wait another 2-3 months. It’s such a shame because I love the tonca and was about to order the tonca in ecru but her experience (and many others via their comments section) really deterred me from ordering anything else from their website. It was really embarrassing on my part too because I spoke so highly of their brand and was recommending it to everyone I knew..

I was eyeing this Tonca style but I'm scared that the closure will look wonky and wrinkled after a few years?? Also, I highlyyy recommend the Muji double zip pouch if you're looking for a catch-all for your small bags. The fact it was 2 sections has been a game changer for me and the nylon x mesh material makes it really malleable and just great for small bags.

The bracelet is a custom design that my husband had made from our local jeweler. It’s a gold bangle with tiny diamonds on each side, very simple. 🥰

Yes! I compared them and they’re nearly identical in color!! The Polene is more textured and a harder grainy leather and the Ateliers Auguste is a smooth, more pliable leather. Other than that, the colors are pretty much the same “chalk” shade! Hope this helps.

TLDR: Thoughts on Polene price increases? Are you filming on a new camera? (: Thanks for making these videos!! I love watching them hehe I'm genuinely curious to hear your thoughts on the Polene price increases. I guess it makes sense given inflation and just the general increase in popularity Polene has received in recent years. But I think I was watching someone else's channel that touched upon it and commented that there was more of an increase in USD prices compared to others (may be wrong, I didn't verify this info (: ). It's understandable, but I wonder if the way in which they did it (no previous announcement) and the timing of it (during a time when many brands, particularly Chanel, are also aggressively increasing prices) contributes to this slightly betrayed, unsure, and almost bad taste in my mouth? Bc personally, I do think their bags are worth the price given the design, that it's handmade, and the quality of the leather/craftmanship, but I now I'm second guessing if I want to purchase a Polene bag this year. Wonder if you think Polene bags are still worth it? If it's entering a new "tier" as some people put it? If they're trying to do this too soon? Just some thoughts I had while watching your video! (: Also sorry for the super long comment, but also are you filming on a new camera? The video feels better quality and the rose-violet on your DYUP pouch is more true to color in this video than your previous ones hehe

Hi!! I noticed the price increase too! I was surprised but I guess I shouldn’t be. Everything is going up in price, let alone, luxury and fashion items. It’s inflation, right? As for a previous announcement, I don’t think many brands announce price increases in advance. Hermes does, but most brands don’t. To answer your question, I don’t think Polene is entering a new price tier. I think they’re still in the same range just adjusting for inflation and rising costs. As for the camera, I’m still filming with my iPhone 😂 but this video happened to me filmed on a particularly bright sunny day so I took advantage of that! 😉

I really wish Polene would do their best to keep bags always in stock. I see so many reviews and says gifted and when you go buy its out of stock. Like whats the point? My husband went to Paris and so many is out of stock not to mentioned the Line outside. I wanted to try Polene because its a low key brand that i thought would be nice. It’s definitely curved, you saw it right. I will say, the Numero Neuf mini is also curved and “puffy” in shape but I’ve not seen any wear on the backside of the bag. Granted I’ve only had it for a few months but I’ve worn it quite a lot and so far, so good. It’s a good watch out though!

I'm not in favour of this brand, you pay for the shipping plus the customs which is all non refundable. And if you want to return it, you have to send them an email and request for a return. To get the return label. Too much hassle for a non luxury brand.

Quality is bad. You can see that the extra leather is folded inside, poorly finished. Many people who are not influencers are having quality issues with Polene, and they refuse to accept returns or refunds. Customer service is really bad! Anyone viewing this review, please reconsider.

Valerie, which bag do you own with the bag quality? I only have one Polene bag, the L’osier Basket Bag. I think I bought it in 2018? Anyway, my bag is in amazing condition still to this day. It came that way though directly from the store in France. I haven’t ordered another bag though since, as I haven’t seen another that has made me excited enough to purchase (yet). But, quality is definitely not an issue with the bag I bought so I definitely have no idea what their customer service is like. Are their certain models that are worse than others?
