thats not true as long there is ammonia and nitrite in the pond the gel and balls have work. you dont need to feed with levels like that.

You should consider making yourself a gravel filled bog filter full of plants that will take care of your nitrate problem! By the way beautiful home and beautiful Koi pond!

Hopefully you will get it sorted soon. I remember going through this and water changes every night. BTW you are supposed to take the red lids off and look down into the vial with that columbo test kit. Good luck with it all.

You'll get there Moomin, remember though nitrite is always slower to come down than ammonia, and check the water coming out of the declorinator 👍

Hi Ad👍😊. I’m sure we all remember new pond syndrome ☹️. I’m sure your doing the the right things, filter bacteria and pond balls definitely help speed up the process (in my opinion). Make sure the quality of water coming out of your tap, particularly the chlorine, is good or treated if not otherwise you might be putting bad water into your system☹️. You might want to hold off the feeding for a couple of days or cut it down as that will reduce the pressure on the system👍. Just check how you should be viewing the Columbo vials as I think you need to look down from the top with the cap removed🤔. Keep going, you’ll get there😊👍

Sorry buddy.. I always put some water from a holding tank or some filter Media to boost everything . It will get better buddy Sit back , have a cold one or ten and enjoy the beautiful oasis you have made. See the ammonia has gone down, your readings are getting better Beer it is 🍻🍺

Water changes are good best thing to do tho is add salt , and leave well alone , salt with help fish through it

New pond syndrome is a pain in the backside bud just keep changing the water feeding as little as possible one thing that has worked for me is Oase biokick premium 👍
