PDK is phenomenal for the track, but it takes away involvement on the street where the vast majority of Porsche cars are driven. It's a real shame there isn't more focus on the fun factor; Porsche should be THE brand for this.

@@ThePilotGear buyers at least have the option with this. Their decisions are driven by the market - if people only bought manuals that's all they'd sell, but there's a solid chunk of market that wants PDK.

I'm mixed. If you'd asked me before I owned a dual clutch I'd have (and did say) I'd never own an "automatic". I went from a manual to a dual clutch to the ZF8 in my SQ5 which I'm very impressed with and honestly don't miss the dual clutch 99% of the time. I do find myself vying to get back into a manual, but the ZF8 and DCTs are so good it convinced me they're an acceptable alternative for most people and situations. I'm very happy there are still some great manual options out there though. I'd like to be back in one soon.

Henry doesn't learn us many things, his comments are amateur. He isn't a professional racing driver. He doesn't speak like a pro racing driver using professionals words to describe the qualities and cons of the suspensions and brakes. His reviews are almost blank. In my country we have a motoring youtube channel and they have a pro racing driver who makes the reviews of sports cars on the track. He uses pro words to describe the dynamic qualities and cons of suspensions, brakes, etc... we learn a lot. Henry is an amateur, doing blank reviews ! You have to stop being happy with flat reviews.

I think it's great Porsche is listening to customers and therefore giving us a manual, NA, 6 cylinders, and productions units into 2021 so regular customers can order one. They won't appreciate much so flippers can't profit, thus for the rest of us - and future owners down the line - we can enjoy them for how Porsche intended. Bravo!

It would be more amazing still if you did some creative production, adding some dramatic music, sound effects and Henry’s awesome voice overs with the drive along exterior shots. Henry , I was lucky enough to get a first genGT4 in 2016 and I have loved it from day one!!! A few questions then: 1) Is the 718 GT4 really that much better than the first, the added downforce should make it a better handling car on the track but the first GT4 sounds much better due to no filters....IMHO 2) I personally think the new Spyder is the more desirable of the two cars if u r not a track rat now that it has been taken over the GT division and given the proper setup it should have had in the first place and I am very tempted to make a change to a Spyder 3) lastly, is it true the North American cars will not require the particulate filters or is that just wishful thinking for us Canadians Awesome reviews and save the manuals!!!!

I just don’t think they’ve gone far enough with the new one. As an owner of a previous one, I really wanted to see 450hp and shorter gearing, and we’re not getting either. To be honest with the way 991 GT3 prices have been dropping I’d probably go for one of those for the same money, or just keep the 981 model with a tune and new spec Cup 2 N1 tires.

A new standard has been set for sports / track cars and its not this. The news is all about corvette c8 right now and rightly so, I think they are going to surprise a lot of people with just how good it's going to be! I have sat in and seen one up close and heard its engine note and as big of a fan of Porsche as I am, the seems of my trousers tightened!:-))))) The vet will be a revolution for cars here on in!
