Very true. They look sort of "ordinary" in photo or video but in the "metal" they look exotic. I saw a 718 Cayman GT4 today. It looked insane. It was white with black wheels and a black wing.

10 piston calipers! I still remember when 6 piston ones were the ultimate in performance car calipers. Those electrically activated front spoilers are very neat. The 992s bulky and not very elegant new body suits the turbo series better than the lower-end more bread and butter variants.

@Mike well the Chiron PS hits the 0-60 in 2.3 seconds and it's really heavy (near 2 tons) The acceleration is not as correlated to the weight as you could think : while the Chiron is 100hp more powerful than an agera rs, it is also 500kg heavier but it accelerates faster from 0 to 60 He means, and that's true, that cars tend to be heavier (safety rules, willing of bulkier cars etc). Furthermore, 911 turbo have never been lightweight cars. At opposite to their GT sisters, they are meant to be luxurious daily-driven cars which accelerate fast

I'll share a little secret. Since it is not the same 3.8L engine from previous generation. This one is actually 3.74L but they rounded it up to 3.8L not to confuse or scare off the buyers Cheeky marketing team at Porsche ;) CheeRS

Its actualy 3.75 liters and in germany every starter 0,1 liters get round up Like for example the C63 AMG W204 it has a 6,208ccm and by german law its rounded up to 6.3 liters

Wow, this is finally a gorgeous 992 911. I mean personally think that the carrera was a little too round in the rear. but now adding the spoiler in the rear makes this thing way more aggressive. Id prefer the quad exhaust tips for the standard exhaust but wished that you could keep those when you option for the sport exhaust. Hopefully Porsche will bring back a real gear leaver for the GT3 models.

The 911 Turbo at the museum was a gift from Ferry Porsche to his sister Louise Peich for her 70th birthday no less! Apparently because of the amazing performance, she wanted to fly under the radar. So opted for the slim hipped bodywork form a Carrera.

In Portugal the Turbo S Cabriolet starts at 280,000EUR - Porsche being Porsche a decently equipped unit is actually close to 300,000EUR. The Tesla Roadster costs 211,000EUR and comes fully equipped from factory. It weighs pretty much the same as the Cabriolet, but has an immediate power delivery without any lag, accelerates quite a lot faster, has a much higher top speed, a longer range, a longer warranty and many less moving parts, so many less things to go wrong. The world has moved on and these legacy automakers are stuck in the past (the odd compliance EV here and there notwithstanding). As a Porsche fan I think that's a shame.
