To be fair, I don’t think herald of the eternal dawn isn’t a power creeped card. It’s 3 white and gained 2 power and flash and isn’t an artifact which arguably makes it harder to cheat into play.

Also makes it harder to kill, which was one of Platinum Angel’s biggest flaws.

@@Kayoscape I've never had any issues in dealing with it, as I keep enough removal in my brawl deck. Plus you're going to be archenemy the second that hits the table.

Its a slightly better Platinum Angel for white decks. Yes it has flash and its a 6/6 instead of a 4/4, but like others have started not really power creep.

Zero power creep it's a platinum angel but you need at least three white to cast as part of casting cost. Harder to cold cast so they added flash and +2/+2. However 4 copies in a deck with 4 platinum angels cheat to drop and wide removal seems strong.

Flash on the angel is irrelevant if you have to keep 7 mana open, just to not die, if an opponent is about to kill you then it's often better to wrath and start rebuilding with the left over mana. It's a do nothing card, and if you cast it in commander anytime that's not just before your turn then good chances are it's getting killed. 3 white pips also make it playable in way less decks. At least it's got decent power and toughness now.

Herald of eternal dawn is the same as the platinum angel. You can't lose the game but opponents can't win

Power creep has been a big problem in MTG design for a while. This is not power creep at all. This wouldn't have been power creep 10 years ago.

Colorless should be weaker then cards having a color. Especially because this effect feels very white having a bit more upside is fine. I think I wont see this card ever.

......I think you're overestimating the power of a 7CMC mono-white Angel that has NO protection from interaction. At worse it's reverse Cyclonic Rift for Mono-White. Which IMO Good for them!.....although annoying for U/W decks....shit that's probably the power creep.......

Stop saying power creep. For how long this game has been around pumping out content -- look at Pokémon, look at yugio, WOTC. Has done great managing power creep by comparison to its competitors over 30 years…. Settle down lady, it’s okay.
