I've had this for a couple weeks now. It's a lot different than the EDT. You definitely smell the incense, and the vanilla is prominent in this one. But you also still get some of that iris and caramel. Darker, spicier, creamier. The grapefruit top is so freaking brief before it' starts going into that darker direction. Just be ready to expect a much different fragrance than the EDT. It actually lasts too. You could still smell on yourself the next day.

I bought Carbon and Ocean at the same time. Love both. My wife liked Ocean on me. I also just picked up Society and love that ones as well. I am starting to wonder if these companies are shying away from listing Iris as a note in the breakdown. When it’s described as “Lipsticky” I think that might scare some people away…maybe. When it comes to Iris, initially I wasn’t a fan, but now I have grown to love it. I think Reserve Privee did it for me as well as Prada L’Homme. Great video as always Ash and I am looking forward to this release.

I'm actually glad to hear it, the Iris on Prada L'Homme is more soapy and clean and I quite like it, however I got Reserve Privee last month (Blind Buy) and I have to say I haven't quite gotten used to the Lipsticky Iris in there, sometimes I feel like that's all I can smeel. Anyways, hope it'll grow on me aswell.

Got this in yesterday. It definitely smells better on skin. I feel like the vanilla and incense make it too heavy to wear on a high heat day. I'm going to have to wear this a few times to decide if I really like it or not. There's a note in there that I feel throws the whole scent off.

So I tested this once at macy and was kinda shocked it was an ocean edp smelled closer to black but still loved it. Then tried the edp at sephora and it was COMPLETELY different so idk if it batch variation but it was like a completely different scent.

Between all my Iris frags, Prada’s LR Ocean EDT receives the most compliments. Yeah it beats DH (original), DHI, DHP, Prada’s L’homme line, Givenchy Gentlemen line, you name it. Disappointed not to see a dedicated iris note (really this is Prada after all). But glad to hear that the iris is still there even if it’s just a little bit and not officially listed. I wonder if it’s a marketing ploy because of the love/hate relationship for iris in the North American market. You know how fragrances for women are referred to as perfume while those for men are called colognes. Or anything floral is feminine. 😂 Which is why I suspect Dior Homme 2020 was reformulated. While the original DH is still available as original in European markets. Recently ran into a wild bottle of DHI in Japan at a Dior kiosk so I had to buy it. Interestingly enough I saw the salesperson literature and DHI is described as a woody amber fragrance(…what?). An iris accord is in the EDT and I suspect the same for EDP. I do feel the designer houses are moving away from actually using orris butter because of costs.

I blind bought this because I am a Prada fan boy but I can't stand the vanilla in this. It smells like a candle or feminine lotion. To be fair, I am usually not a fan of vanilla in mens fragrances, but I can handle it in Armani Code Absolu. I still prefer Ocean EDT and wish they had kept iris the focus, the vanilla overpowers here. I think the EDT would be absolutely amazing if they had enhanced the iris and lavender.

I have the Ocean EDP and I love it. However, I think the name Ocean is misconceiving, it doesn't really give that salty ocean scent vibe. Like what Ash said, it has more of a vanilla creaminess very similar to Zadig & Voltaire This is Him in the mid notes. You would think it's a blue freshie fragrance but it's really not. If anything, I think Acqua Di Gio Profondo reminds me more of the ocean than Prada Luna Rossa Ocean EDP.

Okay, this one is interesting. Just got the Ocean EDT late last year and while it is nice, it's not blowing my mind. The way you described the EDP reminds me of how Dior made Fahrenheit Parfum as more of a vanilla-heavy Fahrenheit that is smoother and sweeter. I'm excited to try the Luna Rossa Ocean EDP. I hope it will be launched here soon.

Flankers are definitely endless it seems, but I really wish Versace would do a flanker of Versace Dylan Blue eau de parfum, not as chemically with a little better quality. I love Dylan Blue, but it almost seems like it's missing a little more depth. Maybe add a slight creaminess to it, similar to the Chanel Allure homme Sport line.

Prada ocean edt version is much more richer than edp perfume version and edt performance is also not so bad. Perfume version is initially fruity but after 20-30 minutes vanilla be more dominant perfume version heavier than edt and not suitable for hot summer maybe at nights can be but not bad definitely need to wait 15-20 minutes be come more sophisticate

So I was kinda let down. Tbf I only smelt it once but it’s didn’t last very well on my skin, it’s darker, richer, less fresh, less blue sweet but more creamy sweet….but none of the notes in the dry down really standout which might be why I don’t enjoy it so much. It’s weaker and overall I enjoy the ogs smell better. But I might need to get my nose on it more

Haven't smelled this but the EDT is quite a manly, blue scent. Very grown up, not really targeted to teens. I wouldn't even wear it unless you were 45+.
