Great looking BABY series coins. Pretty swoop bird coin. Rules are rules, even if self imposed...lol. The mining commemorative coins are a beautiful way to pay homage to Australian gold prospecting. Very hard work to find the shiny precious metal. Nice. Be well, Phil.

Hey Phil you're the carded coin expert so wondering if you have any info on what I just noodled. It's a mint condition mob of roos $1 with 1991 date. The RAM website says there were NO $1 coins minted in 1991, does that exclude mint sets? or is the RAM wrong? or is this coin counterfeit? or? If this coin is genuine I'm assuming it is NIFC? I'm really getting into noodling NIFC coins now, did real well on the weekend finding an enduring 20c, a Howard Florey $1, and an unusual one, a highly polished, frosted and partially coloured Rockhopper Penguin $1

You Are really hitting your straps Jon. Yes the mint didn't issue 1991 $1's into circulation, But they did put out the 25th anniversary of decimal currency set with the Rams head 50c There were around 170 thousand of the sets so that is pretty much how many $1's there should be. What a great find.
