New Product !! Smart Switch for turnouts

The SMART Switch allows you to use virtually any kind of switch to activate your turnout - one push button, two, a toggle switch, etc. And the Smart Switch will activate virtually any kind of turnout machine whether it is a coil system or motorized.
The Smart switch can also receive DCC commands if you want to run switches and DCC in parallel. And the smart switch has a digital signal output so that you can activate any one of our Signal Controllers, including Dwarf Signals - or a relay if you like.
The Smart Switch combined with our Precision Sensors and relays will allow you to create some basic automated train action like turning switches and starting and stopping the trains.
The Smart Switch runs on 12VDC which more than adequate to turn most turnout machines. Switch from an AC to DC based turnout control is easy and we have the power supply for that if you need.

Not bad Jim. Can I assume 1 board per turnout? What about the Kato double crossover? Still 1 board? What else would one need to place led's on a schematic of the layout? Ron

and yes, my layout is Kato n and employs 18 turnouts.

Yes, but you can double up on the Crossover and link two SMART switches. Then, with the smart switch you have an output signal indicating the turnout positions. There are two options for the panel. Either out PD DPDT relay or the CTC Panel. If you put in our Dwarf Signal Controller you can also use the second channel to run a fiber optic with lens to the panel.

The SMART Switch would replace the KATO lever type switch actuator. The rest of your layout doesn't change.
