There’s no perfect setting for everyone, there’s always a compromise, that’s why there’s so many adjustments. Some may want to replicate realism from a real race or road car, some are after ease of use for endurance usage and only a competitive edge with more detail but not exactly realistic forces. Each sim is also different so having different wheel settings helps things feel consistent when switching between sims.

I'm glad to see you guys addressing the confusion on Wheel Rotation Speed, but this was a vague answer. Like, yes, we understand that turning WRS up makes the wheel "sharper" and "crisper", because it's rotating faster, but is it doing that by adding gain, and thus rotating faster than the raw signal intends? Vice versa with low settings, does a low setting result in the raw signal being dampened below what the sim is asking the wheel to do? What we're really asking is HOW this filter is dampening or adding gain to the signal, and which numeric value represents the neutral point where the signal is unfiltered: If I want my wheel to spin _exactly_ as the sim is telling it to, do I want 100? 50? 0? What is the neutral, unfiltered setting? I'm already seeing people in both the 0 WRS and 100 WRS camps saying this video proves them right, so I don't think the answer given has actually reduced our collective confusion. :\

I would also like a more technical, deep-dive answer. I guess I am in the 3rd camp... WRS = somewhere in the middle :P - I find the 20-30 range to suit my preference compared to 0/100 that I tried numerous times. They did confirm my basic observation that WRS is sort of a blended Damper & Friction effect, but we still don't know the extent of what it really means within the 0-100 range, which is unfortunate. - I fall back to my own testing and the fact that Simagic has 20-30 in many of the default profiles as a sign that 0/100 may not be the "best"... but I know that is controversial and people are very connected to either of those settings. - Here's hoping we get a more detailed answer sometime.

I'd to say that WRS set to 0 is more more realistic, compare to my real car (BMW 3), but somehow too heavy in the corner and hard to feel the understeer, WRS set above 2 or 3 like disconnect between car and Wheel, it's over loose during steering and feel fake centering

Some are very straightforward and feel like the Help description. But some are less obvious changes and the description is not entirely clear about what is really changing. I have a suggestion!! Even though I know it’s way out there! You and moza should make it so your wheels work on there base and there wheels works on your base. With no moza universal hub. Just saying you guys already use the same qr system so already some what of the way there 😉 It could be game changing if simagic and moza worked together and made it happen. It would be the first time it’s also been done probably!!

I had air on my p1000 and i decided to check the fluid too, it was black!!! I did not know that this brake fluid was supposed to turn black after few months of use. I replaced the fluid and is work well now.

I would like to see several products released, Bottom Box, Dashboard, Eaton Fuller but the most important thing is that the lights are compatible with Simhub, that it is not closed like my FX Pro.

A button box would be nice. But to compete with other companies they would need to be aluminum housing and have at least 32 inputs for $200-250 And a truck wheel would be nice for my simagic alpha. I do have a moza r12 with the tsw but I would like to have one for both!

I rather Simagic focus on the basics - a round leather 330mm Neo wheel compatible usb maglink, and new wheelbases revision with USB passthrough. There is no need for a Simagic buttons box as thete are plenty of options out there already.

Currently I have a csl elite and the pedals p2000. The pedals are great, I like them. They are so much better than the fanatec v3 I had before. A round leather 330mm Neo wheel compatible usb maglink would be nice. I know I will upgrade at one point, but I don`t want to purchase steering wheels working with only one brand. It would be nice to have a more affordable round wheel for rally games.

@@SIMRIG412 You need buttons on the steering wheel, even in rally. That is probably why you have buttons on the rally wheels with fanatec. Currently, I am using the ClubSport Universal Hub and their ClubSport Steering Wheel Drift, I just remove the shifter paddles. You have so much choice for rally with fanatec, but it is not the case with simagic yet. I hope they are working on it.

+1 Vote for button box. -1 Vote for Truck wheel. +1 Vote for NASCAR / Stock Car Racing wheel (instead of Truck wheel). + Deeper dish wheel in the 350mm diameter range with a button setup similar to the GTS or your other round wheels. + A Simagic version similar to the Fanatec CS NASCAR V2 wheel would be one example to review. I would LOVE to have one for stock car racing as well as drifting and other production car sims. + I imagine that there are more potential users/customers for a stock car wheel than sim trucking wheel. I have not done hard search on that. But I know that within iRacing in particular, that stock car racing is one of the most thriving groups with high participation numbers. - Anyway, thanks for this video and keeping up with all the questions :D

Is Simagic planning on having a wheel base were all of the peripherals can be plugged into instead of having to plug everything into USB ports on my PC? I don't Like using having to use all of my USB ports

All you need is a power USB hub, plenty of those can be mounted securely on your cockpit with bolt or even double side tape.

I pasted a link, that apparently got nuked. But check out the Simagic Wheelbase Extender. It is a CAN-BUS that plugs into the Alpha bases and has 4 USB ports. It's essentially a USB hub that plugs into the Alpha. So there is still the single USB from the base to the PC, but the CAN-BUS can handle 4 Simagic devices like pedals, shifters and brakes.

Vantec makes a few mountable powered USB hub available on Amazon or elsewhere, as does a number of other vendors. Typically these come with "ears" allowing you to bolt them on to a 8020 rig. The Simagic CANBUS hub is an inexpensive option as well, but it is a proprietary device only works on Simagic wheelbase, and it combines all plugin accessories into a single device, which may be a plus or a minus depending on your use case.

Can you please provide the following information: - Is setting WRS to 0 disables this filter, if not then what is the value to neutralize this effect to just have as raw FFB as possible. to me It seems like 0 is OFF, but description is a bit misleading on that and implies that it might slow things down (from neutral point). There's also instant heavyness (like damper) in the wheel when you are not in game, but just in Simpro when you set it to 0. the moment you set it to anything else this effect disappears. Thanks!

Hoping for more info from them as well. If we take this new info in conjunction with the tool tips found in SimPro Manager, it seems that: - 0 WRS = SLOWEST Wheel Rotation Speed [Rate, like RPM] - 100 WRS = FASTEST Wheel Rotation Speed [Rate, like RPM] - All other WRS settings yield a Wheel Rotation somewhere between those limits. - This parallels my experience testing the setting extremes in sims as well as purely in Windows with nothing other than SimPro loaded. If all that is correct, this WRS setting seems to be different from the other Damping & Friction settings mentioned. - D&F are definitely more "filter" type items with 0 = OFF, and 100 = MAX. - WRS seems more like a "Rotation Rate Control" if I word their info in terms that make sense to me. As such, I don't think either 0 or 100 are "ON/OFF" specifically. - Rather, I expect that some value in the middle is more likely to be the "neutral" you mention. But I believe that it is more complex than that, when we consider the variables that exist between sims, but also equipment in use. Even the wheel size and weight used may impact the effective "Rotation Rate" here. So it's possible there is more of a range of values than a single one that is "neutral" or at least less "different" when compared to 0/100. Fingers crossed we can get a more detailed response here or on the Discord, because it is an interesting setting (and related discussion) to say the least.

@@Chader9 This might be the case, but why just don't tell this explicitly considering that a lot of people are asking... There are two possibilities like you said: 1) it is integral part of the signal processing chaing and not a filter on top. 1a) there's really no neutral value and is just up to you what you want to feel 1b) there is a neutral value (0 or some other) 2) it is a filter, though more complex 2a) 0 is OFF 2b) 0 is actually a 'negative value' (like sometimes contrast in some monitors - 50 is default/neutral instead of 0) and neutral is somewhere around 10-20. But imho there's no reason why it shouldn't be properly clarified. There might be plenty of users that might want to have the closest to raw signal as possible (after initial processing). I still tend to gravitate to 2a, since once you go from 1 to 0, it instantly changes behaviour in a different manner than changing between any other values (say 1 to 30). Or it is a misleading thing, when 0 is selected they add some strange damping effect only when no FFB signal is present... which would be very strange... Also if to believe feedback by Arch from discord, only setting to 0 provides linear response to the signal, 1-100 start doing some processing/shaping.

Nice to know peoppe had wheelspeed backwards. 0 doesn't mean less filters and more real. It means more muddy and more dampened with more inirtia on the axle. 100 is allowing the wheel to move more freely so you feel the ffb clarity and responsiveness more. 100 is actually the more natural clean clear feel not 0. Good to know! Because some peoppe go around saying 0 means nothing is on haha. Which is clearly backwards 0 is adding more filters to directly to the Axle. This means will and others reviewing these products shoupd be testing it at 100 and anybpdy feeling a lack of calrity or detail shpupd try it there to. So you allow all of it to come through and be very responsive. Ive always found 100 to be the best i feel everything So much more. The word is more direct. Everything feels more direct and more flowy. Which is why I love simagic so much. Its the most flowy wheel ive ever used becausw of this setting. So please never change it! If you guys ever make a new wheelbase please always allow us to control this setting.

While I agree that 0 does not equal "OFF" like those people claim, I don't think 100 equals "ON" either. Without repeating my reply in the other post here, WRS seems more like a "Rotation Rate Control" than anything. As such, it seems different than the filters for Damping & Friction where 0 does equate to "OFF". - 0 WRS = SLOWEST Wheel Rotation Speed [Rate, like RPM] - 100 WRS = FASTEST Wheel Rotation Speed [Rate, like RPM] - All other WRS settings yield a Wheel Rotation Speed [Rate] somewhere between those limits. While I tested with 0 & 100 (and many between), I still end up in the 20-30 range for my profiles. Coincidently or not, this is also the range I see in most Simagic default profiles. Which all goes to say that I don't think 0 or 100 are "ON/OFF" and I also don't think 100 is necessarily the setting reviewers should use. Considering the testing I have done and the info from Simagic, I am still betting that some "middle of the range" setting is likely to be closer to an "OFF" value than either 0 or 100.

Forget that I want them to stay with quality the mini should be there base model as it is. There shouldn't be any more budget then that. Simagic needs to keep the quality name they are gaining so much. People went from oh its Chinese stuff not as quality. To now realizing how insane the quality actually is and I would hope they stick to that.

@@SIMRIG412 Sure, there's no need for buttons during actual drifting. But wheel buttons can be very handy for navigating menus in outside of driving, vs having to use a mouse and/or keyboard. Just another convenience I appreciate from my wheels other than the driving function to consider.
