NEW Project Electric Zero powered by the Tesla motor fabricated and ready to be built.....

GBS Zero Student Build…… Last year a college placed their order for their first GBS Zero Self Build Kit which was delivered to them last week and the build will now be started. This wasn’t a standard kit as they wanted the Zero to be electrically powered by a Tesla motor. So the Zero chassis has had to be modified to suit their engine choice.
This complete custom engine installation was completed by the GBS team to accommodate a Tesla engine and then fabricated in our fabrication department. We look forward to following and supporting the students with this exciting build.
We are able to work with you to customise the whole power train and other aspects of the car. We recently completed a Zero build which you may have seen featured on our KZbin Chanel already that was powered by a Kawasaki 1400 GTR engine that is now complete and road registered and being enjoyed on the road.
The Zeros can be enjoyed on the Road & Track, with the option to have this Zero kit with the Zero fully welded integrated Roll Cage, which are MSA Compliant and FIA Compliant.
At GBS we are able to offer custom fabrication services including bespoke fuel tanks and much more.

Jaguar I-Pace, Bolt as they have no diff casting on the side thus less space in RWD versions and if in transmission tunnel 2wd or 4x4 should be possible...

i am a little supprised that you didnt use the nissan leaf motor, as these can be had upto 200bhp (from the 62Kw cars), and there cheap. then again everyone is using the tesla motors for conversions, so i guess there is more suport there.

I’m interested in an EV but Tesla S is overkill for what I’m wanting to do with the vehicle. Something around 100kw (134 hp) would be plenty, with battery for - 150 mile range (so 35-40 kwh? ) Try to keep the weight and weight distribution close to the original.

Maybe it’s just me but i think it’s sad that one of the best sports car designs ever built, Lotus 7, is now falling for the PC con of EV’s being green and the future, they are neither as everyone will see sooner than you think!
