Good choice on b series. For what those single cams are..quick. I had a buddy put a 5spd in what was originally a 4spd and it would haul.

@tireroastersgarage yea it is. Most ppl used to swap the head and make it a d16y vtec or whatever. I prefer the b18 or ls vtec b18. B16 is great too just make sure you use the b16 trans. Had a buddy with a 00 si civic had the b16 but ls b18 trans and it just was geared wrong. Odd because they are both similar. B16 civic si and b18 integra gsr which had a few more ponies.
