After the ps5 controller's performance, I will never buy another product of theirs again! I've broken 2 in a year! They have known defects yet Sony don't offer any compensation! Now I must buy this thing for alot of money not a chance! I'll just warranty the last controller that broke while I play with the 3rd one I've been forced to buy and when the 3rd breaks I'll play with the 2nd and warranty the third! Now I must buy this Lego build thing just so I can buy parts every other week never ever! For that price you can get the most elite peripherals in the gaming industry!

@BeHempy if I could go back in time would've bought a PC in a heart beat! For the price of the ps5 and the 55inch C2 I could have gotten a very nice starter PC! Could use the peripherals I want! Wouldn't have to pay a monthly rate to play games I own already online. Wouldn't have to deal with the subpar garbage this companies peddling, forced into a situation where they intentionally limit compatability so you forced to buy their subpar garbo

@@shaun2162 sounds like you should of bought an Xbox 😂. I've had nooo issues with my controllers. The console is great too. You could also use a Cronus to use any controller on it... You'll have to get a besavior controller but to get out of that broken controller loop there ya go... Or just be more careful with your stuff.

I can understand those wanting 4 back buttons opposed to 2. I only need 2 so it’s perfect. The replacement analog modules are the game breaker for me! $20 opposed to a new controller is a beast

About the charging of the controller you can also use the official recharging station. You dont need a cable for that. The reason you get the cable has to do with something entirely different. The cable is for competitive play like tournaments like EVO. You need a cabled controller to play that tournament and therefor you got a cable with it as a competitive controller.

The main selling point is definitely the swappable thumbstick modules. Outside of that, the elite is probably better and offers more value everywhere else. It just seems more premium. But, I don't know how Microsoft can respond to the swappable thumbsticks. Their design is not as easy. Their only recourse is to go with an ultra durable hall effect thumbstick

If the elite 3 comes with magnetic sticks then the stick drift issue will be eliminated. No need to buy new sticks ever. They will probably just copy sony to make more money.

I have the controller I love the way it feels it’s definitely the best controller on the market however as someone that’s used 4 paddles on the back since 2014 it really sucks being set back having to use 2 now. I don’t understand why they thought only 2 paddles was okay

@@cityoftrees9953 i think it is because it has trigger stops and adaptive triggers. with scuff you either get full triggers or mouse clicks. only thing i wish this had was more rubber grip and maybe more battery life. anyways i ordered one it’s definitely a necessity

You can map any button anywhere. You can control all types of stuff. Plus you get 3 sets of joysticks. On scuff you can only use what you ordered nothing removes. Bruh

I think you missed the mark on your final opinion a little, I’ve never owned a ps controller I own an elite series 2, but the plastic is cheap on the duelsense edge yes, however being able to change the potentiometers as well as having an 8000hz overclock rate is godlike

I love how they know how bad stick drift is on these controllers so they made it very easy to buy new ones when this one goes bad in less than 3 months. I've had my ps5 for over a year now and I don't really play any intense games and take very good care of my controllers, yet they get stick drift insanely fast. I'm already on my 3rd controller. I had an Xbox one for 4+ years and I only had to buy a new controller once.

I use an xbox elite 2 controller for pc gaming at the moment and really like have 4 programmable buttons? I have the Victrix bfg and dualsense edge, edge died in 2 hours after charging it for 3 hours along with missing pieces and a cracked glossy piece😬 think I’ll stick with victrix

Remember the back buttons for the PS4 controller that you could buy for 20$ and attach to the original controller. Yeah, bring that to the PS5 controller cause I don't need another remote yet alone a 200$ remote when all I wanted was for the PS4 back button attachment to come to the PS5

Why does the official Sony ps5 Pulse Headset not function with the new Dualsense Edge controller?? I press the Function button on the Dualsense Edge to adjust the game/chat balance, but it does not work with the headset.... Makes no sense, really upset the $200 controller doesn't work as they appeared to advertise it.. the feature is useful for gamers that need to quickly hear the game better over their party chat during a competitive match...
