Thank you Tom for the information. I am a schnauzer puppy owner who also gets confusion with the owner in the video and that’s why my dog bark at everything when we are outside. The treat method doesn’t work for her. After watching your videos for 3 days with the use of prong collar ( before we used the metal slide collar and it chokes on her so much), I could see improvements already. She still likes to bark at other dogs but less frequent to humans now. Thank you so much.!!! ❤️

@rosalieegberink6693 жыл бұрын
If we wants to play with everyone the best thing to do about that is expose him to everything. Go out to a place where lots of people/dogs walk and do some obedience training. Don't let him interact with any person or dog while he's on leash. Social walks are great for this too! Do you have Instagram? I can recommend some dog training accounts to you if you're interested

Thank you for your good work. Is there a technique on how to get a young dog used to corrections in training? The dog in question was very unreceptive and would fight corrections even as a puppy (small corrections on lead from 5mo). Now the dog is 1 y 3 m and is reactive to other dogs and sometimes humans. Whenever it gets correction for such behaviour, it fuels her up even more. I think maybe my state of mind is in play here, since I get angry and frustrated while applying correction and it makes things worse. Im trying to work on that to stay emotionaly neutral while correcting. Other than this problem, the dog is attached to me far more than other members of family so I dont understand why she is fighting me so much on this. I dont like to enter a conflict with my dog, which happens almost every time I correct for reactivity (she accepts corrections for breaking obedience commands while theres no triggers involved). The corrections are on choke collar. Should I switch to prong? Is it posible I desentisized her as a puppy by using too mild corrections?

Our puppy is having an issue within only our home. Whenever we cook she cowers and shakes. If she’s in a home she hasn’t been in before or not too often, cooking doesn’t bother her. We were told she needs more structure and to learn a “place” command. The problem is, putting her in her place just makes her shake there. How can we improve on her exposure without her shutting down? Should we just remove her from the area?
