Love this one too... I like it a LOT more then the EdT as it smells better and lasts longer... Such an awesome Tonka note... I've seen some people compare it to Feve Delicieuse but I feel it is far better then that and not feminine like Feve is... Plain and simple Guerlain knows what to do with Tonka... Great job as always Marc...

For me it’s a cheaper alternative for anyone who want more amped up cherry note, and less powdery than Fève Délicieuse. As for the overall package and journey from top to the bottom notes. Fève still lead miles away...

Just ordered it myself. amazing fragrance, felt it on a colleague, he only walked in the room and you could feel it from there. Very strong, but not bothering, the cherry is simply amazing. I recommend it if you like sweet and cherry fragrances.

Good to see that this is getting some love. My judgement: if you like Pure Havane, but don't like the sour tar/oakmoss note in the drydown, you will love this. Much more linear with that almond/cherry tobacco and tonka note running through it and no nasty surprises. Great autumn and winter frag.

I think you nailed the review with your first impression. I don't get all the hate for this line. Uptight Guerlain purists perhaps? I've heard Guerlain "sold out" with this line more specifically the edt, and that this is "too mainstream" but in my opinion this line is still better than 90% of designer fragrances at your local chain store.

I used up a 100ml of the edt and picked up a 150ml. I just ordered the EDP for $68 for 100ml. With credit card rebates I cut the price down to $40.

This is such a classy fragrance. I like all 3 from the L' homme Ideal line, but the Edt is my favourite with its irresistible marzipan/Amaretto mix, and "rough" leather/vetiver/cedar base. I'm looking forward to hear your opinion on the edt Robes :)

Nice! I got a sample of this one a while ago. Despite being an EDP, this thing has terrible performance on my skin. The projection after a few minutes is pretty much non-existant and even the skin scent completely disappears after about 4 hours. Does anyone else share this experience? Because I really LOVE the scent and would definitely buy a bottle if only it performed decently.

Does anyone know if newer productions of this same exact same scent have different bottles? I just got one in from Fragrancenet and it doesn't look like this bottle. It's the same shape and the cap color is the same, but the sides are clear and not the same color as the cap and the one in this video. Can anyone please help clarify? Thanks.
