I love trying new brands out, so I can let you know about the quality and if the puzzles are worth buying! 😁 This video comes with a twist though! Something unplanned and unexpected happened, but I think you'll like it! 😉

Hi Janette, well it’s always sunny here but when it hits 38-40deg in summer👍perfect for puzzling. In winter when it’s dark and rainy, perfect too. Great video, we like Blue Kazoo it’s a very good high quality brand. Warm wishes from us two in Oz. Mark+Chris😎😄

nice puzzles, I prefer a rainy day for puzzling because, like you mentioned, when it's sunny, it's great lighting, but I feel like I should be outside, enjoying the sunny day.

Weather for puzzling is something I don't really think about if I'm honest. However I do find sunny days the best for me to puzzle in based on where I have my set up to do crafts and such; but I can also puzzle really well with the overhead light if I work on something at night.

I never thought about it either, but I find it very important with speed puzzling, as it can affect your time quite a lot 😅 I think sunny days are best for puzzles with gloss finish, because the light reflects in them too much. But if you have a good light, like you said, then any time is puzzle time! 🤩👌🏻

I have their full gradient puzzle which is just so relaxing to do (though it looks like it's sold out now). I love that they've gone to fully sustainable puzzles. They tend to be on the pricier side of puzzles but they are really good quality.

I have the triangles gradient - not sure if that's the same one, but I'm not surprised it's sold out! I love gradient puzzles 🤩 I love the idea of being fully sustainable as well! And I understand the pricing - it shows in the quality, even though I understand that some people wouldn't be able to afford it.

I have 5 blue kazoo puzzles, which include the sun earth and moon 1000 piece, genuinely I don’t think I’ll be able to finish those at all but I’m excited for your review!

Wow, you really picked the difficult ones! I have the sun and the Jupiter, and I'm honestly scared to do them 😅🙈 I heard some people assemble the easiest one first, and then do the other on top of the assembled one - to follow the piece cut pattern 😊

Just found you and LOVE your content. I'm a casual puzzler and do it to relax. Working on a Ravensburger now...Most Everyone is Mad. It's cold in Maryland right now, so good time to stay in and puzzle. Having good light any day helps!

Yes, they are like that, aren't they! 🤩 I actually went to check the artist out, and she makes everything out of clay, and then they take pictures of it and make them into puzzles. That's why it looks so real and 3D 😁👌🏻

The puzzle looks lovely but the image is tricky. I am glad it is great quality. I own one blue kazoo, but I think they can be on the pricier side so I am trying to stick with Cobble Hill and Ravensburger because of that. I would definitely buy thrifted Blue Kazoo puzzles, depending on how easy the image is🧩😊

I completely agree with you, even though it looked easy for me at first 😅🙈 They are on a pricier side, and I would even have a chance to try them, if they didn't send them to me, so I'm really grateful for that! So I completely understand for you to stick with the other brands. That's why I swap puzzles as well - it's not a cheap hobby 😂🤷🏻‍♀️

I learned about Blue Kazoo from Donnalouise. I then purchased 3 puzzles, 250-piece -- Meridian, Jet Stream, and Triangles. I love the larger sized, lesser count piece puzzles because they are relaxing to put together. (Obviously, I'm not a speed puzzler.) Since finishing all three, I ordered 3 more. Love the puzzle quality, piece cuts, and the finish. I'm glad you've got a good stash of these puzzles. I'm going to be keeping all my Blue Kazoo puzzles since I like to do the puzzles over....well, maybe I'd lend them to a very good friend but I would want them back. Don't let anyone give you trouble over rubbing your puzzles. These BK puzzles do seem like smooth silk. Truth be told, most puzzlers run their hands over a finished puzzle -- it's like a reward for completing the artwork and spending time with the creative process. Everyone I know who puzzles admits to running their hands over their finished puzzles. (I've asked.)

Aww you picked great images! I have all three! 🤩 And I understand what you mean with it being more relaxing, and I completely agree with you! I'm kinda at a point now, where I've done so many puzzles as a speed run, that I don't do 500 pieces any other way anymore 😅 I used to keep all my puzzles too, but I've got a bit too many, so I started to exchange them. But I don't blame you for keeping them at all! They are great, and the boxes look amazing too! 😍 Haha no one is giving me trouble about rubbing my puzzles just yet 😂 I love doing it to be honest. And like you said, BK has a smooth surface, which makes it so much better to do it! But thank you for letting me know! It definitely feels better knowing, I'm not the only one that does it! 😁🤗

I absolutely love Blue Kazoo. I have their gradient series, and I can honestly say that the quality of the pieces on Triangles for example, is next level. The pieces are so smooth and silky!!! I just bought two more from them, Airplane and Ocean Liner. They arrived a couple of days ago, and the boxes are stunning. Mine don't have the resealable bag, I bought them on sale :) I have to buy the 3rd in that series, Train, but I'm in the UK, so shipping and taxes are a factor :D I haven't decided which one to do first yet! Have to say though, I'm really not a fan of the art puzzles they do, not my thing at all. Would love to do this one though! It looks gorgeous :)

I have the 250 Jet Stream, loved putting it together. Didn't take me long to put together. Wanna get the one you put together first. Working on Tetris 1989 now, almost done with it. And have the circular one with all the colors on it, it's called Flower Pot, and last I got there Moon puzzle. Love the feel of the puzzles. Great quality. Couple more I wanna get, I just have to wait till there back in stock. We're out of stock when I ordered the other's.

I loved Jet Stream too! 😍 And yes, Meridian is very pretty as well! Tetris looks difficult! Quite a lot of blue there! 😅 But good to hear, that you're nearly finished! I hope you enjoyed it 🤗 Flower Pot is from the same artist! I just love this art! I went to check it out, and it's actually 3D, that's why it looks so real - it's done with clay 🤩 Moon is gonna be hard though! My experience with Blue Kazoo completely matches yours. Their puzzles have super high puzzle piece quality including large variety of shape, lack of any glare, no puzzle dust, no false fits... However, they desperately need to work on creating easier images. Also, keep in mind that their 1000 piece puzzles are wider than a standard puzzle (does not fit on my regular puzzle table). Also, the backside of the pieces are black (my puzzle table is black).

That's great to hear! 😁 I haven't really done any other of their puzzles so far, so I guess the pictures were on a more difficult side, but they were still very enjoyable for me! 🤩 Oh, I thought they were bigger, because when I had to take the Meridian off the table to assemble Jet Stream, it didn't fit on my board, and I though I had the wrong board with me. That makes so much sense now! 😅🙈 Oh no! That must be difficult to puzzle! I kinda like the black back, because it's different to any other puzzles that I've done, but my table is white, so I don't have issues there 😊

Janette and her Puzzlerubbing is back!😂 Bluekazoo has so many amazing designs! I love their sustainability approach too. That gradient one would have been my pick. They also have a 1000 pc all white puzzle if you want to challenge yourself 🙃

And yes, now that I've done the Meridian, I also think that the gradient would have been a better or rather, an easier choice 😅🙈 Ha ha ha... like the 5k puzzle I'm tackling right now, isn't enough of a challenge? 😂😂 I think I'm done with the solid puzzles for a while 🙈🤷🏻‍♀️

I’d never heard of this make before so went to check out their website and if they delivered to the UK - which they did do and now my wallet is a lot lighter! Thanks for that! 😂 They had some great images and also some nice art ones so I couldn’t resist. They also had a sale on and I got like an extra 10% off on top of that so worked out quite decent. In terms of your lighting can you not get a wee table lamp for your desk. I have one that I use and the head is flexible so it’s easy enough to get the lighting how you want it. Good for those late night sessions! 😂

I just bought a little lamp from Ikea for £12 and it's great! I can literally direct it anywhere and it's led so should last forever :D It's great to see a fellow puzzler in the UK trying Blue Kazoo, the quality of the pieces should blow you away :D They ship pretty fast too. I have five of their puzzles so far, but I know I'll buy more :D

@@Scott_M Well, it would be cheaper if we didn't buy in from the US :D But I can't help it!!! I also just bought two puzzles from Genuine Fred in the US, but via Amazon US, so it's a bit cheaper :D I just switch up in the settings from UK to US and order. I just find that because America has so many puzzlers, the scope of choice is enormous, so much better than in the tiny UK :) My current dream holiday would be to go thrifting in America somewhere, but I'd need to take empty suitcases with me :D

Hasn't ANYONE noticed that this brand has a darker image than the poster? ??? I have Meridian and Columns, both with the same issue. I gave away Meridian because of this but kept Columns. Also the black paper backing matches the interior of the box, thus camoflauging the pieces that are not facing up. I sort while rummaging and do not enjoy this. Though these are important factors for future purchasing for me, I do love the rest of their high quality features.

I actually didn't 😅 But I remember you mentioning that, when I did my puzzle collection video! I had one puzzle - The World of Sherlock Holmes, and the colours didn't match at all, and the puzzle was much darker than the one on the box. But with Blue Kazoo, it wasn't that obvious to me. I went to check back on the pictures I've taken, and I can see that it is slightly darker, but when I was putting them together, I genuinely didn't notice it. I did have a really sunny day though, so that might have made the difference less obvious 🤷🏻‍♀️ I completely understand you - I also have certain things that are a non-negotiable for me, when buying new puzzles, but I don't rummage through the box, so I didn't have that issue. For me, the most important factors are the variety of the shapes, and the misfits - this can make or break the brand for me. I'm sorry to hear, that your experience with Blue Kazoo wasn't the best. I hope you still enjoyed the assembly! 🥰

Wow, you didn't notice while building it....that's interesting...that makes me think that sunlight may be the factor, but if someone else HASN'T noticed while NOT building under sunlight, then why have I noticed? I notices while assembling, and when completed. Also, your video showing poster and assembled puzzle showsit greatly, too. When building darker puzzles, especially this clay, swirlylike image (BK Meridian) it makes it much more difficult and not so enjoyable. Plus the puzzle colors when built look so dark! Columns wasn't as bad, hence, I kept it, plus it is a beautiful circular puzzle. I, too, dislike misfits, and love piece shape variety, especially in the knobs.
