The Foot shift Honda models are reliable because you don't have to worry about anything that's either electrical or stick shift.

Hi mate do you have any idea what i should i do here, so i had a 2002 fourtrax 350es and the oil light didnt come on so it is seized and dont have the skill to rebuild it so im stuck between a recon and a fourtrax what do you think
@RcOutdoors784 ай бұрын
@@fraserbuchanan5005 I would get a recon because of the price and they have very good power to weight. You could also take your quad to a shop and get the motor rebuilt for cheaper than a new quad
@fraserbuchanan50054 ай бұрын
@@RcOutdoors78 hi thanks for the quick response the only reason I’m not taking it to the shop is just the amount that still is wrong with it it has close to 40 thousand hours and is constantly getting stuck in gear plus when ever i put some power into it 5 minutes later its in limp mode loved the thing to bits but its time to move on

They do however come with a specific type of non synthetic oil that is considered factory break in oil, so DO NOT change that oil until it’s first scheduled maintenance, it’s not regular GN4 Honda oil, it’s a special oil for the break in period. Go read your owners manual, and follow their instructions on the break in period, they tell you what to avoid. Also be aware do not baby a new motor, nor give it full throttle. Go read your owners manual so you know what Honda recommends.

@@TiffanyBottomsHunter yeah i already know all that with the oil

@@knightimusprime25 At the factory they put gas in them, but after the testing processes, they drain the fuel back out of them. I am not 100% sure, but it would likely be categorized as a hazardous material during transport if the fluids aren’t drained out of them. That’s the way it is with automobiles 49 CRF 172.101 . I use to be an over the road truck driver, but didn’t haul hazardous materials. A lot of people want to change the oil right away, not realizing that it has the manufacturers specific oil for that new engine, not something they can buy off the shelf. Some people probably think it’s just regular GN4 Honda Oil, but it’s not. I find it interesting that so many people think they know more about the machine than the ones who created it, and build them, and have so for decades. That’s why I tell people it’s better to just go by the owners manual, that 20 so called experts. It doesn’t matter if they claim to be engineers, Honda has teams of engineers that specialize in making those machines with years of experience., as well as the budget to do the research.
