I got the Zyber neck battery, and it's great. I'm someone who can easily regret a purchase, but it's beyond my expectations. Don't forget, you can have the spare battery charging while playing, and as they charge about as fast as they deplete, the use is pretty much non-stop if you keep swapping out. I can accept that the bobo looks easier to change, but its a small detail (and the bobo doesn't retain the charge of the headset). I just started using Bigscreen to watch 3D movies, and hours can pass very quickly. I'm just happy to extend the play time to way way beyond the stock.

Yeah. You could potentially have endless power. But in BoboVR's defense, if my headsets at 100%, the batteries keep it there. So long as I'm routinely swapping them out I'll get a solid 5 hours of total game play with the three batteries I've got. They don't, however, charge nearly as fast as the Zyber batteries.

Great review! I still use power banks in pocket or velcro power banks to back of head strap or back of woojer. I might look into the neck battery setup.. Glad yer subscribe count is increasing.

You can put the battery in your pocket as well. Its great. I ordered mine off amazon, and the extra battery from their website. What sold me on this was removable battery, can be worn on neck, and extra batteries.

The mod mic sounds ok, I've never really wanted to record audio of myself talking without the ability to hear myself so i can monitor my actual recording 😅 that said, i would any day opted for Rode Wirless Go, Saramonic Blink series or Hollyland Lark . I have the first gen Rode Wireless Go, and they are fantastic. Wirless lav mics have much better range and are super stable. Antlion seems to have convenient qualities but the price of a single set wireless lavs these days doesnt really justify the modmic price.

I have a 3080ti and had no problems with Returnal, Robocop or Trepang in First person. Did you use any pre-made profiles?

I said I used the ones listed in Alex's config list. Steve and Matteo had similar issues. I don't think anyone's getting away from the jitter in Returnal. They're just putting up with it and appreciating the rest.

Damn i was hoping a 4080 would be enough for uevr. Guess i need to keep saving my pennies.

It's enough for a lot of it. I really think a few of my issues come from the janky nature of the mod itself. At least regarding the jitter.

Did u give up on these off ear headphones? I can’t find the video where u linked this option idr what they r called, just that they were hard to acquire and it seems like you don’t run with them anymore

@@xXParrallaxXx are you talking about the attachable headphones I'm wearing in this video? They're from the Vive Cosmos and I still use them. I don't take them off except when reviewing other headstraps. It's smooth as what? Maybe the config file has updated since I used it last. But the gun didn't work right at all.

@@bringhurstvr smooth as butter lol well i used it about 3 days after it was released so was prob the same profile. You mentioned a 4080 I have a 4090 but only paired with a 8700k still at 5ghz lol and 32gb ddr4 @3200

They're from the Vive Cosmos. Very similar to those from the DAS, but removable.
