Thanks for the information. I also just get v69 on my Quest 3. Haven't even looked at it yet, too much learning new games I got on sale. I am waiting to see what the Quest 4 has to offer when the specs come out. I guess the device will possibly come out in 2026 - long ways off from now. For now I am happy with the Quest 3 - back to my gaming. Take care.

Is there a way to disable the avatar hands on the controllers? I hate seeing them on my controllers if I am not using hand tracking.

I usually get the updates very late, but I just upgraded to v69 today (may have been available earlier, this was just the time I checked). Hopefully these virtual monitors can be used Virtual Desktop in Steam-VR. I have not investigated yet, but the thought of seeing coordinates from Reddit or KZbin while I am navigating in No Man's Sky would be really really neat.

I don't get why Meta is breaking its own corporate design with the Q3 that hard. The Q3 has a cool design, round edges and the 3 oval cams on the front are a nice idea. Now, the make the 3s with sharp edges 6 spots at the front and so on... looks like a temu version of the Q3.

Because its not meant to be a upgrade of the quest 3 but of the quest 2.

The design language looks worse than the Quest 3, so that they can upsell customers to that. This is something that essentially every manufacturer out there does these days.

Hi, hope I can find some help here. :) Since v69 update my USB port is literally unusable. Getting "debris/water warning" all the time. My Quest won't connect to my PC at all. I opened a ticket at Meta... just getting told "this is a known bug, we working on a fix... here you have 20 CHF for Meta store" -.- Someone else experienced this too with v69? I use Quest 3 for SimRacing mostly and AirLink is not stable for me at all, even with dedicated Wifi6 repeater. I liked the Quest 3 a lot before the update, but today just doing one race with AirLink I was close to throw is out of the windows, so bad was the experience... warping, shaking, fragments... all the good stuff you wanna have when you race with your car among 10 others at 200 km/h. When I connect my Quest now I get the connecting sound in a 1 sec. never ending loop. PC show meanwhile... "new device"... gone..."new device"... gone..."new device"... gone. Hope someone has an idea to be happy with my Meta Quest 3 again. :(

I still have the Quest 2 64GB and now the updates are lacking for it. I just don't feel the need to upgrade and i bought so many accessories that it pains me, if i have to sell this headset at a dirty cheap price for what it worth these days.

Unfortunately the Quest 2 is outdated. Just like how Apple pushes out updates that are not compatible with older devices to force users to buy a new device. It is deffinelty worth upgrading especially to a quest 3 or even 3S if you want to save a little money.

I have read some having this on V69 software, albeit renamed. It seems to be working subtly.

I don't even know why the 3s is always being brought up? It's a stepback... if u have a quest 3, why would I even care about the 3s, it's pretty irrelevant.

Just a hunch, but... could it "keep being brought up" because you, oh, vaunted Quest 3 Owner, aren't the Center of the VR Universe? To you, as somewhat of an enthusiast who is willing and/or rich enough to purchase a Quest 3, the 3S is a "step back". But for those who either can't afford the Quest 3, but would love to get into VR, or those who either have never experienced VR, or last experienced it when "affordable VR" consisted of 3DoF, Google Cardboard-level resolution, and sticking your cell phone in a headset-shaped holder, the 3S, and the software that comes with it, has the potential to be a very big deal. And that's precisely who Meta is aiming this headset at, not the latest crop of newly-minted VR snobs. If Meta markets this thing right (never a foregone conclusion), those VR snobs will be the benefactors because, the more players (and potential game buyers) there are out in the VR wilds, the more investment money developers will end up with to put into making better games AND VR headsets. Most KZbin VR creators--VR snobs, every one--know this. And that's why they keep bringing up the Quest 3S, even if they aren't particularly excited by the headset itsef.
