@JoSEPH65687 I forever question why the MTA didn’t replace the R44s with R160s in 07 or even R179s in 2016 .. Staten Island definitely needed this upgrade

I'm sure this is by request, because most of Railway factory now already move to open gangway designed rather than closed gangway designed. So who in the right mind still request/required a closed gangway designed? Is such a miss opportunity to actually modernized the fleet. Idk, it always make me annoyed that railway company still order a closed gangway train set in this day.
