Great shave Ken. Sadly Gillette can't see the forest for the trees. They've pretty much stated that this was a holiday seasonal release for 2019. That razor looks like a Edwin Jagger DE89 with a much beefier handle. I use PayPal a lot on EBay which is where I got my Vintage blades.

I have been watching your videos for a while now and I actually got into wet shaving and 3 piece razors as a result of your videos thanks for the great work 👍 also wanted to let you know I finally got my hands on 4 sweet vintage razors after months of hunting. Vostok are great watches. Throwback to the soviet era. They do have some odd quirks though. The crown takes some getting used to when you wind and set the watch. It's designed to be floppy when its pulled out so if you drop the watch it doesn't pierce the movement. Also, the date doesn't have a quickset function so it's a lot of moving the watch past 3 am then back to 9 pm then back to 3 am to advance the day. They are cool watches though and mine gets a lot of comments.

Great shave. No Shave November is going well for me. I put on some coconut oil on my facial hair including my sideburns to make the growth comfortable and faster. It's an alternative to beard oil and balm since I don't have one so the coconut oil is the quick way to go. Guess Gillette needs to fill the demands of the ever growing legions of wet shavers wanting a taste of their DE razors. Have a great day

Hello again, Regarding the Gillette Heritage Razor, I too have had an email advising me of a later delivery date, 27 Nov - 2 Dec. This has got to come over the pond mind you. I have been trying to find out how many is of 'Limited Quantity', Gillette doesn't know because I asked them, they say that Amazon U.S may know how many has been 'commissioned' (for want of a better word). This is vitally important because it suggests to me that manufacture hasnt properly got organised to meet the customers (Amazon) demand. Do we know if anyone has received their razor yet, I suspect not. I'm looking forward to the many reviews on this one, and I hope to watch an unbiased yet enthusiastic review. All the best Daz

Hello Ken, A couple of things, very interesting that Global Shaving should send out to you and other KZbin reviewers, either 'Seconds' or prototypes. That's the big concern of mine, buying a razor that may need to still be improved. Good example of this is the QShave Parthenon 2.0 version. I've seen your winter brush, for reason it looks quite Canadian, but it looks very good. One last thing that Barbus line of products look interesting, is it a typical Barbershop scent? I think it would be awkward watching you shave in complete silence to be honest. Is the heritage a mild razor? I have a mild schick krona and a qshave long handle as well as the qshave merkur futur clone. I would be interested in a decent mid to aggressive razor to add. Any suggestions ? I wouldn't call the R41 aggressive. I would call it the most diabolical shaving instrument created by man. Try the Muhle R89 as a step up to a more aggressive shave.
