Regarding the discussion about randomizer names, as someone who turned up late and had no idea what everything was, I agree that the main categories need the renaming. My main issue is with the term "Guarded". What does that even mean? From the description I saw on the version of the Randomizer I have, it says "Simulates randomizer Season 1 but adds additional guarded locations. No stat randomization. Gold Ring, Silver RIng, Holy Glasses, and Spike Breaker are in vanilla locations." This is the same description as the O.G preset only adding the bit about additional guarded locations. Perhaps there's a more universal term that encompasses what the author originally intended. Other ones I have a problem with are: Safe - reports itself as the base preset? Surely just "Base" would do? Casual - "uses guarded logic and has a low complexity". The suggestion of a page describing for basics what complexity is to newcomers might help with this. Beyond - it adds a new relic and new items, but is also safe logic? "Beyond" is not really descriptive outside of new items, which Magic Mirror also adds. Something descriptive would be good. Mobility - the description doesn't really say much, but the name could be fine depending on the rewrite here? Open - slightly misleading title IMO. Refers to shortcuts and teleporters being open, but "Open" could also refer to the complexity for some. Maybe Open House? Sight-Seer - Describes itself as a base preset with "Wanderer extension". Literally have no idea what this means and wouldn't be able to suggest. Happy to chat and work with people on renaming stuff as a non-speed runner or modder who has a vested interest in SOTN and has written about it for gaming websites.

I totally understand your hesitancy in wanting to make a video related to cheating in speedruns for all of the reasons you listed, but I would definitely be interested in one day seeing that video from *you* specifically, because I know you’re not a the kind of person that would use it to witch hunt or farm rage clicks. I think it would be fascinating and educational. It reminds me of like 15 something years ago, a professional Magic player with a very strong reputation for integrity wrote an article about all of the ways to cheat, specifically so that players would know what to watch for, and what reforms the game made to try to prevent all that.

GDQ feels the way it does not because people are afraid to say a swear word or something...you can't even use a pepe emote in their chat without getting an immediate ban they are so woke.

You live in a fantasy land. That does not happen. These types of over exaggerations are part of the reason people get the wrong impression about how GDQ operates. Trust me, they are a lot more lax than ou would think
