I love applying my foundation with my fingers and press it with a sponge or use only a sponge. I rarely have success applying any foundation with a brush, so I'm happy to see someone apply foundation with their fingers! Go for it! 😊

Hello Kylina! Thank you so much. I always have to over explain because people do not enjoy fingers on the face. But I love that. It feels like a real integration of the product and the art and it’s fun. I don’t mind brushes with thicker foundations but with a tint that is kind of like a moisturizer, we gotta use our fingers!

Hello Laura! I think this would be a fantastic choice for you. Now if you need it to put it in a hard-hitting 12 hour day and look flawless at the end of the day, then no. But if you just want something nice and casual for every day just to perfect the skin a little, I think this is a great choice.

@@lauramcclelland9106 compared to Mac? Hmmmm. Good question. It’s been a while since I have used a Mac complexion product, even though I know they are iconic. I would say this might settle into lines a little bit. It is not as moisturizing as some other tinted moisturizers like, say, Laura Mercier. I see this as a bit more of a tint and less of a moisturizer. So if you can get dry, it would need a bit of a dewy primer or a nice moisturizer underneath. It is not, in my opinion, prone to sinking into lines but I would not say that it is a pro at not sinking into them. I’m not sure that that answers your question but you get the idea, I’m sure. I don’t know if it would be your perfect product. Think of this as something to throw on to even out skin tone a bit on a nice easy casual day. For a full face of make up? No. Let me know if that helps at all. I

Hello Shirisha! Great question. The rose inc is much more of a traditional tint. It is suspended in what feels like water so extremely thin and you cannot tell it is on the face at all. There are no moisturizing properties to it but no drying properties either. The rare is definitely, as the name states, a tinted moisturizer so you definitely feel as if you have also put on a little bit of moisture to the skin, if that makes sense. Let me know if I can help answer the question better and I will happily do so.💕

So let me make this clear, I use the Glossier Priming Moisturizing Balance, the Glossier Wowder, the Charlotte Tilbury setting spray to set my make up. Well, it worked. 12 hrs later and not a lot of change. I dabbed my face with some oil absorbing sheets about three times through the day (I'm oily but work in an environment where the AC is cranked up HIGH). It didn't get over oily or disappear or breakdown. I say thumbs ups! I wouldn't use it without setting properly though. I tried it yesterday alone with jus power and didn't do as well, but I was just at home. Full shift (at a desk, in AC) and not worse for wear. I will definitely keep this for lighter coverage days. Loved it!!! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ For being a skin tint it did very well.

Hello Joanna! I am absolutely hearing it compared to the Mac product but, alas, I have not tried that! It’s been far too long since I have used a Mac complexion product so I need to fix that for comparison purposes. I really like this. It’s very light. It’s almost when you just wanna throw on a little bit of blush and some mascara and a lip tint. This is not something that you would do a full beat with if that makes sense.

Hello Dawn! I’m so happy that you found my channel and so thrilled to have you here as part of this lovely little community. If you get a moment, let me know if you ordered the right shade. I almost ordered one too dark rather than too light but I am hearing that some people went too light accidentally and now need to exchange. Do you know what foundation I really love for light coverage and would work in a mask? The Surratt dewdrop. More of a beautylish find than a Sephora purchase, I suppose. For Sephora, you really can’t beat Laura Mercier, if you’re looking for something light. Also the new Rose Inc tint is superb and at Sephora. And this Rare is a really good one. It will come off on your mask at first but towards the end of the day it won’t. It’s not a workhorse. So if you’ve got a 12 hour day it’s not gonna fight through that entirely but it will be really comfy and won’t make a huge mess on your masks.

Think I will be returning it, in store hopefully. Yes, the original rare foundation pulled yellow so I can imagine that this one might pull a bit of an odd color depending upon the skin tone underneath it. Not worth it. Not worth messing with and trying to make it work. Agreed. Just return. By mail if nothing else. Just get your money back so you can buy something you’ll enjoy.

Good morning! In short, no, not at all. Ha ha now let me explain. This has very very very little coverage. This is like just a little bit of color to pep up your skin. The Pat McGrath is very similar, in my opinion, to the new makeup forever that just came out. I think they feel very much the same. So you might want to look at that one. This one is really for that kind of lazy day very little make up look. Not that the Pat McGrath is heavy. I know it isn’t but it’s an actual foundation. this one calls itself moisturizer but is very much like a tint. And a light one of that.

I think this looks so pretty on you. I ordered a color that was way too light. I’m going to go back and get a bit of a darker shade. But last night, I wore the tiniest bit of the Danessa Myricks Yummy foundation and it was really pretty and natural. Just enough to cover the really red spots. I’m more of a medium coverage girl. In terms of the pixelating, I have been using a pore filling primer on my t-zone and a bit on my cheeks and it is helping with that (I use the Laura Mercier).

And yes, the shades in this one are a tough one to figure out. And the shade predictors are zero help. They put me way too dark. Great question, Crystal and I'm not entirely capable of answering it unfortunately. I tried the Ilia in a sample form quite a while ago, when it first came out. It didn't thrill me so I never bought it. This, unfortunately, means that I don't have enough experience to really know. But I DO know that I liked this one instantly and wasn't a fan of how the Ilia applied or wore...so I'm going with this one being better. Haha.

Hello Katelyn! Don’t forget the skin tints too like the new Shiseido and the new light Estée Lauder. They’re dewy though. This one just kind of improves on your skin. It’s very much for a casual day with a little bit of mascara and some lip balm a little something on the cheeks. It’s not really for a full face as it won’t balance enough if that makes sense. But as a kind of tint it’s lovely I find it strange that they called this moisturizer as I don’t see it on the same level as, say, a Laura Marcille. It’s not so much that it’s moisturizing more like a serum with shade. Thankfully, I think the shades are stretchy so hopefully you won’t have a problem but I would love for you to let me know. If you get a chance.

Thanks for the shoutout Rebecca 😀. I saw it In store but all the shades seemed yellow in the fair light shades and when I put it on my hand just a drop to feel the texture it felt dry to me. I also love my Laura mercier tinted moisturizer so much and even their oily free version feels more hydrating to me. I will look at it again when I go into Sephora this week again .

Hello Audra! I thought of you because of your comment about the pool. This would be a great by the pool tint. However, I am going to agree with you completely that I will not give you as much moisture as the Laura Mercier, even the oil free Laura Mercier. So you were not wrong.

What a lovely product!!!!! 🥰🥰🥰 The shade is perfect, the look is perfect, and yes, I am rolling my eyes about the SPF. At least it’s a chemical ingredient with a very good safety profile, according to my research. It says the FDA is still researching homosalate, but it is anticipated that further studies will confirm the excellent safety profile that has already been established. I really like this one!!!!!! I was looking for a tinted moisturizer… could this be it?? I will forgive the addition of SPF, arrrrghh!!! But why oh why?? Please leave the SPF portion to me!! I will take care of it!!! Eeeeeeek. Yes! That was the most lackluster confetti ever, even I have to admit it’s like confetti but with one T. Oh I’m so glad that you looked up the chemical sunscreen as that is, as you know, indeed the chemical used. Thank you so much scientist BB. Yes this is a very good one. I have been playing with it for a few days. I have even tried it with a dewy primer underneath and I like it as well. Sometimes it needs to be fixed a little bit around the nosy but it’s a good one.

I don’t have sensitive skin, but I don’t want to develop it either!! Many ingredients are skin-sensitizing over time, and all I want is to stay away from those (even if they don’t cause sensitivity right now). Oh no. That Fenty product is my nemesis. I hate it. Literally it is one of my most disliked makeup items ever. It was patchy and dry and I’ve tried 1 million ways and never liked it. Suffice it to say I like this one better ha ha!

That is just a little one off of Amazon, Patrice. And it just looked hideous on the back so I improvised with a little bit of floral sticky wallpaper! Ha ha. A definite work in progress. I can’t stop the mirror from showing because of my camera angle so I’m always trying to make it a little bit more attractive. Ha ha.

I was waiting on your review. This looks so good. I prefer light coverage ever since I started working on my skin last year. So I might pick this up. Also I prefer applying foundation and concealer with my fingers. I feel like it achieves a more skin like finish and it helps me use less product bc it's not being soaked up in brushes. (I only use one pump of foundation). My second preferred method is my oversized Sonia kashuk body sponge bc it covers a lot of surface area and also achieves the look I want but I do end up using more product if I use it.
